I just updated to 8.4 and noticed the folders that LR uses to import photos taken on our iPhones have been "duplicated". There are the correct photos but 3 of my wife's are in one folder and a single one in another folder.
It's not a big deal, but I would like to clean in up without messing...
Same for me, probably half our trips we are in places with no or poor wifi. I hope (but do not expect) adobe adds functionally to Lightroom non-Classic to allow it to be used without the cloud. I cannot see how they can eliminate Classic and move everyone to non-Classic (which I assume is their...
I only have 20GB of Adobe cloud storage so would probably need more. BUT I have not found it 100% reliable and when it goes wrong it's not easy to troubleshot PLUS why waste bandwidth uploading to the Adobe cloud just to download to Lightroom Classic? I would prefer to use a cable between my...
Any ideas on how these changes could help in the case where someone has LR Classic on a PC/Mac at home and wants to use an iPad in the field?
I'd like to load a day's photos on the iPad, rate, tag and edit (a bit). Then when home transfer everything to an iMac (without using the Adobe cloud)...
I noticed in a few posts you've mentioned shooting with Olympus cameras. I'm curious/noisy for some more details :-)
I'm also thinking about moving to a lighter system - my full frame canon + 70-200 is a lot of weight for the kind of photography I find I'm doing more and more (travel, landscape...
I have a number of RAW photographs shot with -3 stops of exposure compensation by mistake.
I'm pretty new to LR (LR Classic 8.1) so I often use the Auto Tone feature and then tweak the sliders.
Would it be best with these photos to adjust the exposure by +3 in the Develop module and then use...
I have identified a lot of friends and family using the "Faces" functionality in Classic. I also sync a small numbers of "best of" pictures from Classic to the Adobe cloud and then down to 2 iPhones and 2 iPads.
I can't find any documentation on how "Faces" in Classic and "People" in Mobile...
I used to order prints from Apple via Aperture. Is there a 3rd party (in the US) that has a plug-in for Lightroom that allow you to send them edited photo files so they create prints and mail them to you?
I'm looking for good quality and value, not art quality. Any suggestions?
I need to calibrate the display of my new iMac. In the past I've used a Spyder3Elite, but the software does not work under MacOS 10.13 :-(
The choices I could find are the Spyder5PRO, Spyder5ELITE, Spyder5EXPRESS, X-Rite i1Display Pro and X-Rite ColorMunki Display.
Does anyone have any advice...
I'ma bit confused about 2 things
1) "Live" photos. I assume that when you import one of these into LRCC it just takes the HEIF photo and ignores the MOV video.
2) Portrait mode. I assume the you get a HEIF but without any of background blur that iOS can create using the depth map.
The other use-case - using an iPad in the field.
I assume you use something like the "Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader" to get your RAW files into your iPad's camera roll.
Then you import them to LRCC and delete them from the camera roll once they are in LRCC?
You rate/flag/edit in LRCC and...
I just updated to MacOS 10.13.6 and now on my Launchpad (in addition to "CCXProcess") I also have a folder called" Adobe Application Manager (Other)" containing an application "adobe_licensing_helper".
That's a shame. Most of my photographs are taken in remote spots with no Wifi. So its nice in the evening to review the day's work on a bigger screen and flag the 4/5 stars and the Rejected pictures.
Loading then in LightroomCC on the iPad while on a trip would be okay. The problem is I only...
Another question I think I know the answer to, but I'd though I'd ask because the guru's here never cease to impress.
I'd like to do the following: -
1) Shoot on DSLR
2) Load Raw files into Lightroom CC on an iPad via memory card reader
3) Cull, add star ratings, maybe a little editing
I think I know the answer to this question, but I thought I'd double check, because I'm a newbie :-)
In Aperture it is possible to show the camera's AF points and the active AF point(s) when looking at one or more photographs. Is that possible in Lightroom?
I noticed that thread on the Adobe Lightroom community (in fact its pretty much all I could find via Google). I think the advice there is bad (basically just delete the app). I have a new iMac and a "clean" install of Lightroom so think this is probably a small bug in MacOS or Lightroom. I...
I just noticed an application called "CCXProcess" on my Launchpad. When I click on It nothing happens. It's logo is the red Adobe CC logo, so I'm assuming Adobe created it. It's not doing any harm, I just wondered if anyone else has seen it and has any idea why it suddenly appeared?
I want to take photos on my iPhone using LR CC and sync them to LR Classic via the cloud.
I then want to remove them from the cloud and my iPhone using Classic, but leave them in Classic.
Is there an easy way to do this?
I tried moving photos iPhone - Imported Photos folder to another folder...
Operating System: macOS High Sierra 10.13.3
Exact Lightroom Version (Help menu > System Info): 7.2
I have the Adobe subscription that only gives me 20 GB of cloud storage.
What I would like to do is automatically load all my 5 and 4 star photos into the cloud so I can view them in Lightroom CC...
