The trial version of V6.14 which is the last version of the perpetual programme that can be downloaded shows as Lightroom CC in 'About Lightroom' in the Help Menu.
Was v6.14 sold as Lightroom CC? If so, then that's what I am looking for.
Does anyone who has moved over to the Adobe subscription service have a genuine Lightroom 6.14 Windows licence for sale at a sensible price? A long and embarrassing story has left me with downloaded Lightroom 6.14 installation files but no licence, or having to move to the subscription service...
Back again I'm afraid, but with a different issue. Before running into my original problem (see above) I had several plug-ins loaded into Lightroom. Following the re-install mentioned above I tried adding them back into the fresh LR Classic CC installation, but only one (Teekesselcham) was...
Thought I should post an update on this in case someone else runs into the same problem.
The original catalogue (.lrcat file) had passed the Lightroom integrety test, and even using a backup copy of the catalogue resulted in the same error, so I assumed Lightroom itself may have been corrupted...
Thanks for getting back on this subject.
I have 112GB free space on the root drive (C:) which is an internal SSD drive connected to the motherboard. The Lightroom programme runs from a second partition (D:) on the same disk which has 32.5Gb free. My images and the .lrxxx files are all held on...
I have been using LR CC 8.1 as a stand-alone programme without any problems until earlier this week when I tried importing images from my camera SD card. LR hung for a short while then came up with a message: "Could not copy a file to the destination folder because it is not writeable or there...

Interesting, and thank you. It's knowledgeable comments like this that are appreciated the most.
I have been reading the .pdf version of the book while awaiting arrival of the paperback, and have already decided it has been money well spent.
Thanks Jim, that's exactly the reply I was looking for. As anticipated, the book is probably of interest, but limited use for a LR6 user.
I was mostly looking for a reference work of tried and tested methods to achieve specific results rather than having to do it by trial and error or by...
I appreciate all the comments, but my question was:
.....am I REALLY going to be able to use LR 6 (with the new book 'Lightroom CC - Edit like a Pro'), or has LR CC gone so far beyond this that half the features needed to "Edit like a Pro" are simply not there?
I realise the book has only just...
I'm an average mediocre amateur photographer and cannot justify a monthly subscription, so am stuck on Lightroom 6 (and that's cost me a lot over the years).
Hey, it's still a great programme, but before spending my pension on another book - i.e "Lightroom CC - edit like a Pro" I'd like to know...
