First, have a look at Victoria's book Moving to a New Computer.
Lr 6 is no longer available. I believe Adobe has shutdown the download site.
That would be the best approach and should be covered in the book.
If you are using this Box, and have it mapped as a local folder on your MAC, and use that local folder in LrC, then my guess is:
If when you open LrC you don't see a whole bunch of missing photos then it sounds like LrC was used to delete your photos.
If you see a whole bunch of missing photos...
Just some comments from someone who started over with a fresh, empty catalogue:
DON'T CREATE A NEW CATALOGUE. If you have a catalogue, start with that. It will be upgraded if it's old. You lose information on changes you have already to the photos even if you have XMP files.
Use LrC to delete...
A couple of Adobe posts on their support for Snapdragon / CoPilot+

For more value information check out the Focus Points Plug-in. It shows you the focus point plus DOF. Useful when diagnosing issues such as where was I focused.
The 1.26M value here is the same as the LrC Metadata.
That was my belief stemming from the days when the MS versions were not existent or poor. I don't have duplicate programs running though.
I discovered that recently with unexpected delays in launching applications. I turned off Malwares 'Ransomware' and 'Exploit' protection which had not...
You need to be looking at all the Windows resources when this happens; CPU, GPU,memory, disk. If necessary, open the Resource Manager from the Task Manager and see which processes are taking up the most of a resource.
I can see the missing sneakers but that does not seem like a panorama picture to me. It looks like you have a stack of pictures of the same frame where you move sneakers around.
I'm used to pano stitching and aligning photos taken over an area; horizontally, vertically or both.
Keep in mind Adobe keeps adding features to LrC which are not added to Lr at the same time. So, to me. convergence is not evident.
IMHO, I don't believe the controls are that different between the two so expect generic skills to be easily transferable.
Also, understand that your journey is...
That makes for an interesting scenario. Push one button and you have one AI creating photo entries. Push another button and another AI judges them. Push another button and you get yet another AI reviewing and commenting on the competition ;-)
I guess it was inevitable. It would be interesting to see the effect of multiple passes through this process where it analyzes its own recommendations.
I guess the next step is AI Judges in competitions.
Agree if you have a separate backup strategy but the OP seems to be stuck on basic LrC backup.
I have a daily backup of Pictures, LrC files to an external drive. LrC backups also go to the external drive.
Not sure what you mean. Each catalog will be backed up separately.
Your backups will do you no good if your primary drive crashes. Best practice is to backup to a different drive. Your external drive would be a good destination. For some additional insights, see Victoria's BLOG's on backups...
Thanks for the clarification.
It appears that you would only have needed for the LIBRARY module in LrC. You have no need for DEVELOP or other modules. As you said this makes LrC expensive.
It sounds like you update the METADATA in the JPG or PNG file. One thought, since I'm familiar with...
Some clarification please. Are you looking for a way to use Lightroom Classic's (LrC) GUI to be used to search? This is possible in the Library Module however LrC is not a multi-user environment plus there is a danger of someone inadvertently changing data.
Depending on the frequency of your...
Just curious if Task Manager is reporting 100% disk activity but no I/O. Everything would freeze for 2 or 3 minutes then resume. This was a problem i had with W10. No one could figure out the problem. I finally cloned a new drive and it stopped. I still use the original disk as a backup.
If...
Agreed but is this posted somewhere @Paul McFarlane ? I happen to see 32GB recommended in a post a couple of days ago. My Apple dealer was trying to tell me 16GB was enough
They should add "... but your consumption may vary ;-)
I'm making the move from Windows to MAC Mini and explicitly chose not to use an Apple display or MACbook because I was happy with my Asus ProArt display. Personally, unless you are looking at a laptop, an external monitor gives you more flexibility in selecting a screen.
On a related note, the...
