Lightroom CC (non classic) on Mac.
Since we don't have smart albums/collections in Lightroom CC yet, is there a way to find all the photos that have edits applied?
Sorry. I should have said "Assume the source file is a RAW file with LR edits applied." My bad. I understand it won't be a RAW file when it goes to another app.
TIFF vs JPEG is what I'm looking for. Or is it PNG? I believe LR uses PNG when you choose "Edit In" and send it to another Adobe app.
On the iPad version of LR, if I choose "Open In" from the share menu (to send to Affinity for further editing), what file format does Affinity receive? Assume a RAW file with LR edits applied.
When I roundtrip from Lightroom Mobile to Photoshop Fix and back, I end up with a PNG file. Anyone know of a way to specify another file format here, like TIF? I looked through the preference on both apps, and couldn't find anything.
Thanks.
Hmmmmmm... I would love to use ACR to create the merged DNG. Any suggestions on where I can learn to do this? Nothing I've tried gives me the ability to create a merged DNG.
I hope this hasn't been asked already. I did some searching, but most everybody seems to be incorporating Classic and LRCC (non-classic) together in a different way from what I want to do.
I'm 100% in on LRCC (cloud). Everything is great there. No problems. All my photos are stored in CC cloud...
I don't believe that is the case with LRCC (non-cloud), like it is in Classic. I'm not seeing it in the preferences, and there aren't many to look through.
But that's okay. Either format is fine with me.
I haven't tried. I'm on the Lightroom only plan. I'm considering upgrading to the plan that includes Photoshop. This is a pre-sales question I have before taking the plunge.
I'm wondering if anyone out there has tried duping LRCC into thinking a 3rd party app is Photoshop.
Since I do not have Photoshop installed, when I right-click on an image and select "Edit in Photoshop", it asks if I want to browse for Photoshop. I'm tempted to browse to the Affinity Photo or...
I want to edit from the iPad while on a flight tomorrow.
Since I'm on the new cloud-based Lightroom CC plan, it's my understanding that Lightroom for iOS allows me to edit the actual RAW files, rather than Smart Previews like the previous version did.
What if I don't have an Internet...
Let's say I import photos from my SD card to Photos on my iPad. From there, I import to Lightroom Mobile.
Once the import is complete, are the RAW files actually in LR, or does it upload them to the cloud from Photos? In other words, is it safe to delete them from Photos before LR has had a...
I'm currently on the Photography plan. I'm thinking of switching to "Lightroom CC plan", or "Photography plan with 1TB cloud storage".
My current contract runs through March. If I change to one of these other plans, will I still have a March renewal date, or will it start my year over?
Ouch. What's the workaround for this? Doesn't make sense to have your entire library on disk twice. Maybe disable syncing in Classic? But then I suspect we wouldn't be able to use it.
If, like me, you want to use LR Classic, but have them appear as nested within their collections/folders within LR Mobile, the workflow seems to be:
1. Create the collection in Classic, and sync it.
2. Open CC (non-classic), create a folder, and move the recently synced album to it.
I've done a little testing, and it doesn't appear to work this way.
Test: In "Classic" I created a collection set, created a collection within it, then added a few photos to it.
Result: In LR Mobile, the collection shows up, but it does not appear as nested within the collection set.
When I...
