For the longest time I have been frustrated with the Info overlay behavior on the secondary monitor - sometimes, it's on; sometimes, it's off; and almost *never* would it obey the "i" keystroke which only seemed to change the main monitor. I finally hammered on things enough to understand why...
Hello all,
Using Windows LR Classic build (dang, it still won't paste from the About pane... it's 11.5 anyway) I am seeing two very strange things when I export. My project is a shoot for my daughter's ballet studio's portraits. I've tagged every face so everything is properly identified...
Thanks, reported there now too... appreciate it. Wish there was a magic "clean up the entire internet" button to automatically remove all outdated "instructions" on how to open an adobe bug! Or else wish it was just a very obvious part of each product's UI so nobody had to write these...
Well, I went to a link on the adobe websites which appeared to be a place to fill out bug reports, typed all this up, and submitted only to be told it's read-only now. Rather than lose it I figured I'd share it here. I took time to verify the steps.
I only want to share 5 synced folders...
Interesting. Lr Classic Library pane seems to have 5 views - grid, loupe, compare, survey, and people - they list the People hotkey as O. Not sure why that's not comparable to the cloud version's People, but it's annoying as heck to not be able to change the person's thumbnail. Thanks for the...
Is this option still present in a right-click menu? I am in LR Classic CC, People View, double-clicked the person with the terrible choice of "cover photo", and now I can see all the Confirmed thumbnails of him. But right-clicking any of them doesn't show any options. Just clicking a good one...
I've used LR since V2, and have 180,000 images in my catalog. All of these are sorted into folder structure created by LR (ie MasterPhotos/2021/2021-01-01) *except* for about 1000 images which were imported from 12/28/2018 to 4/18/2019 using LR Mobile sync. I didn't realize that Sync wouldn't...
I've used lightroom since V2 also, and have always let the Import process handle splitting into subfolders automatically. Either your rep didn't understand what you were asking for or just didn't want admit he couldn't walk you through it. Maybe because you were referencing the viewing choises...
I'm probably strange but I want to apply a metadata filter from the grid view to limit the selection to those images with White Balance of "As Shot" - any way?
Reason: I've started editing a batch of files, and realized that while my Nikon's auto WB usually does great, on this particular day...
After working fine since my post back in November, this grid-view vs. filmstrip-view selection mismatch started occurring for me again today after starting the desktop version after being away for a few weeks. I've been using the mobile clients more lately (thanks for the tips on another...
Thanks for the quick reply, Cletus. In my case simply restarting Lightroom cleared the issue. I thought perhaps I had accidentally used a hotkey to switch some kind of special "selection mode" or something so spent a lot of time searching menus to be able to switch it back. The workflow that...
For what it's worth, my Lightroom CC 2015.7 started exhibiting this behavior today. Select something in the grid, but the selected image in the filmstrip or loupe on 2nd monitor doesn't change. If I select a new image in the filmstrip, now the 2ndary monitor selection changes too, but the grid...
