I have enabled Embedded and Sidecar. Secondly, unticked handling the raw+jpeg as separate files and set using Camera Settings in Preferences.
I show your example. When I click on embedded preview, I am then shown a different level of distortion. The view shows more barrel distortion. I also...
Yes, shooting jpeg and raw. I made the changes to the import however I'm still seeing a difference between the two, distortion between the jpg and raw files.
Shooting with Fuji I like to have jpg's too so I can take advantage of film simulation. At times, the jpeg is good enough and I share...
I've noticed that my Fujifilm 18-55mm Lens is the culprit. I'm not seeing this type of barrel distortion with the Viltrox 85mm or the Fujifilm 55-200mm lenses.
I called Fujifilm, they say to send the lens to them, there's nothing that I can do with settings to correct the distortion on the jpegs.
I opened the jpegs in Fuji's software and there was no distortion. I then opened the files in Photoshop, no distortion. How can Lightroom distort the view?
How do you correct lens distortion for jpegs?
I was searching and found info about The Adobe lens profile downloader, but it's no longer available.
I shoot jpeg and raw, but it seems make it pointless shooting jpeg if I can't' correct them in Lr!
Help, thanks.
Right, just that the sharpen techniques with Nikon files worked without issue. Now with Fuji I'm relearning. I too found that the detail slider is a major source of problems and the masking has very much helped.
Photography - you never stop learning!
I'm new to Capture One and I'm not able to fully grasp it. I do find issues with 'worms' when sharpen when I use the same method as I did with Nikon files.
Lightroom is importing the files. This question or concern has to do with many of the topics found online regarding the distortion created by Lightroom when sharpening photos. Currently I am continuing working with Lr and concentrating on my sharpen skills.
Hi,
I am trying to understand the 'built-in' function to lens correction with Fuji. So as I understand it, the camera/lens is sending the correction upon import and it's ready to go. What about the jpegs? How do I apply the corrections to them?
I just purchased a Fujifilm X/T 4. I have been looking here in past posts about the Lightroom issue with Fuji raw files.
Here in August of 2021, is there any news from Adobe that they will finally address this issue?
I have tried Capture One Express but I can't make the switch since I have...
Is anyone using Capture One for their Fuji cameras? Looking to use the Express version for certain issues with Fuji.
How would you use this with Lightroom, that is send it to Lightroom once you have it imported?
I'm viewing the jpgs since I shoot with a Fuji and I'm using film simulation. This was I can pick the no-goes while I get to view if I like the simulation.
When I cull through my images I do so by viewing just the jpegs.
When done culling, before I can delete the rejected images I must also match the RAW files. Simple manual process but with so many images this becomes a waste of time and tiresome.
Is there a way I can filter these rejected...
So I keep my catalog on my PC linked with OneDrive. For some reason OneDrive is now going into the Thumb drive folder and uploading them in my One Drive Photos. Is there a way just to have it save the catalog and not the rest?
I'm trying to keep as much as possible in the cloud when it comes to photos from my Phone.
With OneDrive my files are shown as placeholder files and only download when I want them. I was trying to copy this OneDrive folder into Lightroom but it was downloading the files.
Does anyone know how I...
