    I've come to like the subscription model - it saves me having to budget for annual upgrades, then trying to decide whether to upgrade or not. The only thing I'd like to see is the cost of additional cloud storage come down.

    Hi Alan, I should have thought of that! I can manage with 1TB at the moment as I just upload raw files and no videos. I would like to see Adobe revew their online storage prices though.

    Maybe an obvious question, but have you thought of just switching over to Lightroom CC completely? The desktop version is still lacking on the library management and output sides but is developing rapidly. It certainly makes sharing your images across multiple a very smooth experience.

    Another useful tool is to right click on an image and select Show Photos from Same Date. Handy after a keyword search when you want to find photos from the same shoot.

    Thanks Jim. Having images in the cloud to download into Photoshop is the big attraction to me of LRCC. I don't always have the external drive with my image library attached to my laptop - this should all work very well.

    Hi Jim, Thanks for that, it looks ideal for my workflow. I'd orinally planned only to use Classic and LRCC in parallel for a short while until I was sure that I could do all I needed in LRCC. It might be a while before this is possible so syncing them like this is obviously the way forward...

    Thanks Jim, Importing the images into LRCC rather than Classic sounds a much better option. After I've imported existing images into LRCC is it best to create a new Classic catalogue before turning on syncing? How does the metadata added in Classic for existing images get transferred to LRCC...

    Thanks John, Save As sounds the safest option - the file sizes of PSD and TIFF are staggering compared to raw but disc space is cheap these days.
