MBA late 2012 & no GPU support

Yeah, saw that I hadn't updated it. It's correct now. Just found it odd, it was working, then an OSX upgrade basically turned it off. Not what you'd usually expect. Oh well...

MBA late 2012 & no GPU support

I could have sworn my 2012 MacBook Air was using the GPU prior to the latest upgrade (stand alone) but I just went to the performances tab and when attempting to check it on, it reports errors discovered and defaults to off. Has something changed?

CS6 HDR Pro merge psd result not readable

Bingo. Odd why LR can deal with a tiff 32bit file and not adobe's own psd. Thanks for getting this cleared up Bryan!

CS6 HDR Pro merge psd result not readable

Well, I thought you might have had it Hal but turns out not so. I had not set the maximize toggle to always but even after I did, the results were the same. Blank photo showing in LR and if you try to bring it up in development mode it indicates the file uses an unsupported bit depth.

CS6 HDR Pro merge psd result not readable

No doubt I'm doing something wrong. Grab three raws in LR 4.3, right click and edit in CS6 via Merge to HDR Pro. CS6 comes up, completes, I hit OK in the 32bit screen, then select SAVE. a psd file is created, and shows up back in LR as a black file indicating there is an error. Only thing...

Print to jpeg DOESN'T USE FILENAME?

Here is the deal. Took a file and used the crop tool for 5x7. Hit export, picked jpg at 100% (nothing in the dialog lets you define exact dimensions). Also, did the PRINT module thing on the same photo and printed to a file. Bring both up in Photoshop. The "Export" version using \image\image...

Print to jpeg DOESN'T USE FILENAME?

Example: Customer sends me a list of 25 photos they want digitally ready to print 5x7 copies. I locate each in LR, add a virtual of each to a grouping, re-edit where necessary, load the group into Print module and force each to be exactly 5x7. Each photo is separate, ie one per page with the...

Print to jpeg DOESN'T USE FILENAME?

So, either I'm missing something (quite possible) or there is a bug in the Print Module on 4.1 Scenario: worked on a photo (5x7) went over to the print module, set it specifically to print a 5x7 on 5x7 paper, selected output to jpeg and it does not come up with the filename.jpg as the default...

    Enable lens correction profile ERROR

LR 4.1. This worked perfectly last week when I uploaded 200 photos all taken with my Canon EF 400 2.8L IS and Mk IV body. After importing, I went into Develop, then Len Corrections, clicked on Enable Lens Corrections and poof!, it automatically finds my lens and applies the corrections. Today...

Lightroom 4.1 Release Candidate 2 now available

performance fixes??? loosely, maybe ..... not working items now working, ok....but from a speed / dwindling performance perspective, not certain I can agree Estimated price does not update when switching between books in the Collection panel. Postscript Type 1 Fonts do not appear in the Font...

Lightroom 4.1 Release Candidate is now available for download

IMO a poor attempt which does not resolve the fact that there wasn't a problem maintaining a sharp image while moving the sliders in 3.6, and that any solution should keep intact this key operational characteristic. The user should NOT be made to endure backward performance levels upon...

Anybody else confirmed this issue with LR 4 install over existing LR3?

I wasn't too clear regarding the amount of time I spent restoring to 3.6. Made a bad decision early in the process (since all the other upgrades had worked flawlessly) to do a complete program backup via Norton, run the upgrade, delete the old 3.6 THEN start to play in LR4 - oops! Well, never...

Anybody else confirmed this issue with LR 4 install over existing LR3?

The unfortunate part would be converting 3 catalogs of over 30,000 photos only to discover the tonal curves were lost resulting in spending a fair amount of an evening restoring to 3.6. Adobe REALLY missed this big time. So far, my $79 has been wasted on a non-usable upgrade.

    Can't disable IMPORT SCREEN

Auto import is turned off. If I put a cd or dvd in the drive, LR 3.3 opens up and then brings up the import screen. Would like to set it to ignore any disk being put in the drive but can't seem to find the setting.... sure would appreciate someone pointing me to where to look. Thanks, Matt

    Viveza and Lightroom

Scott, Viveza's LR plug-in most definitely works with Vista. Currently running Ultimate Vista64, LR2.3 and have Viveza plug-in installed. As others indicated, it first creates a .tif file. You are correct in that it does not work with psd files. Regards, Matt

If your nVidia has its own app running in the bottom right tray, try turning it OFF, and stop it from turning back on when you re-boot.

LR 2 x86 and x64 on same machine?

I don't believe this was the OP's question. What is being asked is can you install both the 32bit and the 64 bit version on the same system (i.e Vista64) and then choose which one to run based on need? .. but in either case they would access the same LR database. Matt

Web gallery with other color profiles (like AdobeRGB)

Do not believe IE7 is color managed. Firefox 3 however, as you noted if its turned on, is managed. You can clearly see the difference between the two here: http://www.color.org/version4html.xalter
