Print module: One page, one image, multiple copies with different develop settings?

Solved the silly problem by using the contact sheet layout and adjusting the number of cells. This allows each images metadata to be printed beneath the photo.

Print module: One page, one image, multiple copies with different develop settings?

Thanks. I have found a problem in what I want to do, and that is both the picture package and custom package layouts do not allow photo information to be printed (Page tab in print module). Is there a way around this problem and still make a contact sheet of one image processed 6 different ways...

Print module: One page, one image, multiple copies with different develop settings?

Hi all, I just wanted to run this past you all for thoughts and suggestions. I want to print a contact sheet with six copies of the same image, each with distinct develop module settings. My thought is to make six virtual copies of the original image, develop each copy separately...

Photoshop color themes panel removal July 14th

See: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/eos-color-themes.html Just an FYI for those, like me, who use the PS color themes panel. If you know of another PS panel that does the same thing, would you kindly post? Best, Bob

    Import rename problem?

Hey Grits: I don't follow you. Here's my rename scheme: BB_{Date (YYMMDD)>>}_{Sequence # (001)>>}. I had to copy that from LR by eye, as copy n paste didn't work. Anyway, I don't see a descriptor such as "File Number" anywhere: Sequence, Image, and Total are what is shown in the pulldown menu...

    Import rename problem?

Valid points, Califdan. In my case, I was shooting bracketed photos and renaming made it a bit easier to find groups of three images. Also, and definitely trivial, many years ago when I first started using LR, I watched a video from a 'well-known' authority on LR who suggested renaming during...

    Import rename problem?

Not renaming upon import makes sense, especially given the problem I've encountered. Also, I have to agree with those who have argued that automatic renaming is not necessary; selective renaming may be important only in certain cases where you're exporting out. Thanks all for your input. I've...

    Import rename problem?

Jim: You nailed it, and accurately portrayed what I've experienced with the file renaming problem. Yes, I was referencing the sequence number = capture time. Am I current in saying that the work around is to rename after import, using the rename function in the library??

    Import rename problem?

I routinely import with a renaming that includes my initials, the date, and a file number. I've used this for years with an earlier version of LR, however, this scheme is giving me troubles now that I've upgraded to LR classic (latest update). The basic problem: the renaming is out of order...

Method to open each photo with lens corrections?

I recently upgraded to LRClassic after years working with V5.7. On my old setup, I had LR configured such that when I opened a photo in the Develop module Lens Corrections would be immediately applied. Chalk this up to my old age, but I don't remember how to configure LR to do this each time...

Q: Moving LR - Lightroom CC catalog location

Thanks to Victoria and Cletus, my LR Classic is now successfully installed and a near mirror image of my old 5.7 version of LR. Lots to learn in the new version (coming from 5.7, that is.)

Darn it all: I meant LR CC Classic throughout my original post. Many apologies for my error.

Q: Moving LR - Lightroom CC catalog location

So, I built a new Win10 computer over the weekend, and I have installed, but not started Lightroom CC. I read the 'how to' by Victoria (How do I move Lightroom to a new computer? | The Lightroom Queen), and have copied the old LR 5.7 files so that I may paste them into the appropriate folders in...

New computer -- How to install new LR/PS & move old LR/PS catalog/settings to the latest versions?

I've put all the components together. Today will be the first power-on tests, followed by installation of updates and drivers, and the operating system. If all goes smoothly, I anticipate attempting at an install of LR and PS on my new computer early next week. Fingers crossed.

    5k vs 4k monitors

I settled for an ASUS ProArt 32" 4K. Pricey, but I think it'll satisfy my needs, and I wanted to go with one single monitor with my new computer build.

New computer -- How to install new LR/PS & move old LR/PS catalog/settings to the latest versions?

Johan: Thank you. That is precisely what I needed. I'll follow up with an additional post or two should I have further questions. Best wishes, Bob

New computer -- How to install new LR/PS & move old LR/PS catalog/settings to the latest versions?

Hi, I am in the process of building a new computer that should be up and running in a couple of weeks. Once the build is complete, Win 10is installed, and everything is stable, I plan to install new versions of LR and PS via Adobe's Photography subscription. (I'm currently using LR 5.7 and...

Graphics cards in the time of Lightroom 10 (and going forward)?

Seems that there has been some hoarding of the AMD 5000 series CPUs as well. Hopefully, stocks of both GPUs and CPUs will return shortly.

Graphics cards in the time of Lightroom 10 (and going forward)?

Thanks Gnits. Indeed, I will comprise performance for quietness when building my new computer. If anyone has opinions on what MBs or GPUs are the quietest, please offer your thoughts, and thanks.

Graphics cards in the time of Lightroom 10 (and going forward)?

As one who is in the process of upgrading to a new computer, I greatly appreciate the comments in this thread, which brings me to ask about noise levels arising from high-powered CPUs and GPUs? As I put together my computer, I insist on it generating as little fan noise as possible. (I also use...

Upgrading hardware: Two BENQ SW monitors?

My current setup uses two different sizes of monitors (and with different backlighting). While I calibrate each monthly, the difference in resolution is a PITA at times. I will have to work on how to get two 24" monitors on my desk, but I think I can do so with a bit of imagination (and some...

Upgrading hardware: Two BENQ SW monitors?

I'm in the process of upgrading my photography workstation with a new computer plus all new hardware and software. My current setup used two monitors (1920x1080) running off of the MB's built-in graphics. I really like working with two monitors when editing in LR and PS. I am strongly leaning...
