Thank you Brad. I think I have a grip on it now. I just also found a couple of screen shots over at Adobe that someone posted showing two different instances.
Thank you for the reply. I have done that before and watched it, but I did not know what I was watching.
So if understand correctly, a program uses the memory, does not release it, access more, and if runs out due to this, possibly locks up?
George.
I have heard the term memory leak a lot, have not researched it, and have not monitored it, don't know how for one. Could you explain exactly what it is doing and how to monitor it?
Thank you, George.
Victoria, thanks for direction to this. I deleted my preferences file and restarted, and gained a lot more quickness in things. A whole lots better.
We'll put it through its paces now.
Thank you Victoria, I will check into that. I did a couple of things there before I saw your post.
The thing is, it was fine before the update. Unless the update corrupted something.
Anyway, still working on it.
Thanks Geoff.

Martin Evening's book with his free downloadable 1.1 update is very good and laid out in understandable terms.
Highly recommend. I learned a ton from this book.
I have not read Scott Kelby's.
Thought I would drop in and say hello. Was invited by Kiwigeoff from over at the Nikon Cafe.
Been in digital for a while now, still learning PSCS2, then got Lightroom and don't hardly use CS2 anymore.
Anyway, one of my main things I say over at the Nikon Cafe, Have Fun.
