Add Date & Time to an Image where neither are visible (in Metadata) now

Paul Thank you so much. Perfect way to guide me - I was looking at the wrong MetaData. I never knew there were TWO. Your Patience AND Guidance were much appreciated. Job Done - Images all now 'in order'. Guru Clee Your patience and Guidance hit levels I have hitherto never encountered...

Add Date & Time to an Image where neither are visible (in Metadata) now

Johan Sorry to be so exasperatingly stupid. I am actually trying quite hard, but have way too little experience & knowledge - perhaps that is why I am asking Qs and not answering them. I appear NOT to have tried the 'Metadata - Edit Capture Time' menu. So that I may try this avenue out, could...

Add Date & Time to an Image where neither are visible (in Metadata) now

Paul Thanks, but once I exposed IPTC (in Metadata Default), I could still not see anywhere to change Data. Pls persevere and reveal where I should be looking ... ? Thanks again

Add Date & Time to an Image where neither are visible (in Metadata) now

Johan "Should" is the key word. BUT it doesn't, since there is NO Capture Date/Time indicated to be changed. Clicking on 'Defaults' (in Metatdata) reveals an interesting series of Options, but sadly none add a Capture Date or Time. What 'other view can I select' as you suggest ............ ...

Add Date & Time to an Image where neither are visible (in Metadata) now

Johan You are correct. Image taken in Panorama mode on iPhone. Any way I can recover that date or Insert it Manually or force there to be a specific Date/Time attached to image. That way, I can at least stick Image in the right place (aka order) in my Album. Many many Thanks

Add Date & Time to an Image where neither are visible (in Metadata) now

In the Metadata drop-down (see my Screenshot, pls ?), there is NO Capture Date nor Time, hence my confusion. No idea what IIRC is nor where to find it. Sorry But Thanks

Add Date & Time to an Image where neither are visible (in Metadata) now

Am in midst of a major Trip Edit and Sort and have found a few (typically Panorama Images) where the Metadata does not have Capture Time nor Capture Date, so I have nowhere to amend nor alter it, so that the Image will drop into my sequence in Chronological Order. Apologies if its obvious to...

Difficulty with Importing Images from external drive IN Chronological Order

I gather not a new Issue, but am stumped. I have 3.660 + Images in a single Folder (on a separate Passport Drive), which I wish to Import to LR 5.7 (Desktop)then Develop etc until Album . I wish to Import & KEEP them in Chronological Order ('Image Capture' seems the most sensible), but it...

Struggling to IMPORT in 'Date & Time taken' order

Thanks so much, but incredibly when, rather than hit it with a hammer or do Control, Alt, Delete, I decided to give it one more try. Bingo - all sweets and IN-order. i don’t think I did anything differently. thanks again

My Images when loaded into LR appear different sizes

I am loading images (jpeg from a canon DSLR) and some from my Wife's Panasonic MDC LF1. Mine (1st SShot) are always same size. Hers (2nd SShot) are mixed as seen from the attached screen shots. What am I doing wrong or needs to be changed - maybe even a setting in the Panasonic camera...

Having selected an Image that I wish to work on & in 'Develop' mode, each Action seems to head-off automatically/ Temp rockets to + 33 (to name but one and it is not alone) Exposure to full + 5 Stops Have I done something amiss or accidentally set-up pre-sets ... Bizarre Using LR 5.7 (I...

Exporting large No of Images IN Date & Time order

Clee Thanks. I am exporting the images to a File (Dated Albums, if you will) in a separate Folder (to LR). That is not what I would call an 'app', but that could just be my ignorance. I suspect either way, the Folder is as simplistic as me. I know how to order exports in LR by Date/Time order...

Exporting large No of Images IN Date & Time order

Currently exporting Images (developed, sorted etc of over 1,250 to an Album) but it is resulting in them loading in what appears to be Image Number order. Sequence in the Album therefore looks daft. I am trying to keep them in Chronological order (Date & Time) of Image Capture (even if that was...

Capture Time is NOT always retained when Exporting to an Album (different drive)

OK - Makes sense, I think. Thanks again. Final Question - How do I find out which 'App' I am using to see Images that are stored on a separate Device (Memory Drive). I have no idea ! Cheers

Capture Time is NOT always retained when Exporting to an Album (different drive)

Johann, maybe it is my terminology. Let me explain - If IMPORT brings image INTO LR, then de facto - EXPORT takes them out. Especially when, as I do, I always REMOVE from LR (NOT from Disk) after Exporting. Why ? - I have encountered issues over images IN LR, but not elsewhere. My Question...

Capture Time is NOT always retained when Exporting to an Album (different drive)

I am very sorry to be irksome and to obviously use strange wording. Let me explain MY Workflow and therein may lie the answers. I do not know them, being as I said at the beginning a "luddite": 1. Connect Camera to PC using USB. 2. Open LR5. 3. Click 'Import' and select my Camera as the...

Capture Time is NOT always retained when Exporting to an Album (different drive)

Crikey - Good Question, but How do I find out ... ? I just double-click on the image (or File) in the relevant file (by Date or in a Collection), and Bob's your Uncle - there it/they are revealed. Love to hear/learn more. When I IMPORT from my Camera or Other Source, I select Capture Order...

Capture Time is NOT always retained when Exporting to an Album (different drive)

Rob The ONLY Software I am using is LR 5. Exporting (using LR 5 Export facility) is to a separate Data Storage Device (My Passport with no software capability). The 'albums' expression was used to illustrate that I am collating them together (in a day-by-day sequence, or specific date(s)...

Capture Time is NOT always retained when Exporting to an Album (different drive)

Working with jpegs in LR 5 on Windows 10, if that helps. Background is that I have quite often changed the Capture Time (or even date) to make the flow of images more like an evolving Story. This revised 'order' along 'Capture Time' lines, then that 'order' appears to NOT be retained when...
