    64bit Catalina Released

    That's a very clever answer.

    64bit Catalina Released

Oh that's nice. Then I can spend all day tomorrow re-installing over my very slow Internet connection.

    64bit Catalina Released

Frankly, I'm scared of deleting them because I've no idea what other system files might also exist. Who knows what side effects this could cause? Do Adobe have a script to clean up old unused hangovers?

    64bit Catalina Released

Thanks Victoria. I've never had Elements. Only ever had the Photography Subscription. Uninstalling these "hidden" 32bit apps isn't that simple, although I do agree they shouldn't be there. What a pity Adobe hasn't bothered to find a way to do this during previous updates - instead of...

    64bit Catalina Released

Thanks Paul, but what about Photoshop and if my Creative Cloud App say I'm up-to-date, why do I have 11 32bits Apps showing in the system report?

    64bit Catalina Released

MacOS Catalina is available for download as of today. Problem is, there are no less than 11 (eleven) 32bit Adobe Apps lurking on my system. Any thoughts? Has anyone braver than I discovered if LR and PS still works?

    Going Back a Page

Thank you Victoria. I'll need to train myself to press the refresh button - or use the New Posts button which I hadn't noticed.

    Going Back a Page

New posts are in bold type with a NEW icon informing me of the posts I haven't read. Having read the new post, there are two ways of returning to the index to see what else is new. I can click on the browser's back button, or I can click on the bread-crumb at the top or bottom of the page...

Adobe Portfolio Domain & Host Name

My latest attempt to redirect. Here's my reply to Adobe Support, but with the IP addresses blured out:

Adobe Portfolio Domain & Host Name

OOPS - There appears to be a problem! My solution (above) works fine on a desktop (or at least with Safari on macOS), but NOT on my iPhone or iPad. I don't know if this is the case with Windows and Android. On IOS my URL always displays as MICHAELNAYLOR.ES - even when asking for...

The hardest part is deciding on the content and particularly the wording for each page. It took me almost a week

    Publish Services Am I Happy?

I decided from the off to export images from LR at the size I wanted - and then upload them manually. It's important to keep the file sizes under control.

Next Mac OS will be called Catalina

I agree iTunes is past its sell-buy date, but I worry how I will catalogue all the videos I've made over the years. I've tried Plex and such to stream to Apples TVs. I would like a real Apple solution for this that allows for keywords and dates to be saved back into the files. Lightroom...

Importing Videos - Connecting to Dynamic Link server failed error

You may even find that one of the built in Windows apps can do this. Albeit, one at a time.

    Publish Services Am I Happy?

This is what I get for 12€ / month. Lightroom, Photoshop, and a Portfolio website thrown in. Am I happy? Of course I am! Click on the image to visit my new Adobe Portfolio website.

Importing Videos - Connecting to Dynamic Link server failed error

No idea, I'm on a Mac. Does you graphics card meet the requirements? * AMD: Radeon GPU with DirectX 12 or OpenGL 3.3 support. * Intel: Skylake or newer GPU with DirectX 12 support. * NVIDIA: GPU with DirectX 12 or OpenGL 3.3 support. * OpenGL 3.3 and DirectX 10-capable video adapter for...

Adobe Portfolio Domain & Host Name

Since posting, I received another unhelpful email from Adobe Support implying all domain name providers all do it differently, but that's misleading. They might have different user interfaces, but the underlaying principle is the same. If it wasn't, the Internet would simply not work. However...

Adobe Portfolio Domain & Host Name

I've created a website with Adobe Portfolio. I'm impressed, but I have an issue... My Portfolio works just fine, but I can't find a way to have the naked name re-direct to the host name, or visa versa. Tech support says my site is doing this for them, but they're probably inside an Intranet...

Catalogs Test Integrity before backing up

I've been away for a couple of days, so haven't been able to follow this tread. Thanks to Johan for this nugget of information. In this case, it doesn't seem to affect the outcome, but it will be extremely useful in the future because it also works in the grid's search bar. I didn't know of...

Catalogs Test Integrity before backing up

The keywords were there because I added them. Two years ago I began scanning 10,000 historical family images, identifying the people, locations and date or capture as best I could. Some I wasn't too sure about, but for portraits of myself, mother and father, I was pretty sure who they were...

Catalogs Test Integrity before backing up

It doesn't matter if #WHERE is explicitly assigned or not. In an case, the false positives are quite spurious. I've been trying to resolve this for 2 days now. That's why I suspect it is a bug, or at least a programming error. Whatever, I now have a work around, albeit extremely tedious...

Catalogs Test Integrity before backing up

The options are: Enter Keywords, Keywords & Containing Keywords, and Will Export. None of these affect the outcome. And as said early, they all display exactly what one would expect.

Catalogs Test Integrity before backing up

I've tried that, and I've also tried changing #WHERE to LOCATION, but it didn't make any difference.
