If I import photos from my camera to a folder in Lightroom Mobile on my Ipad when I am away from home how can I add this folder to my Lightroom Classic catalogue on Desktop?

You can't "import into a folder" in LrMobile, you can only add them to an album (which may be in a "folder", but "folders" in the Lightroom system are not the same as hard-drive folders used by desktop operating systems such as MacOS and Windows). If you add the images to an album in LrM, and you sync LrM to the cloud, if you also sync LrClassic with the cloud that album will appear as a collection in LrC along with the images that the album contains.

If you have enabled sync in the Classic catalog, the images that are in the cloud are automatically downloaded to your desktop when you start LrC and they are stored in a folder on one of your hard drives. The actual location can be set by the user via the LrC Preferences>Lightroom Sync tab (which is best done before you start syncing), if you don't set your own target location then LrC will store them in an obscure default location in the user's AppData folder. They are like any other images in the catalog, you can move them from one folder to another as you wish, and they will remain "synced" until/unless you stop them from syncing.
If the images are already in an album in the cloud, then as well as being physically downloaded the images will also appear in a collection in your Collections panel, which will have the same name as the album and they will sync with each other (so any subsequent changes to the album will be applied to the collection and vice versa).

Can I then add those images to a folder in my Lightroom catalogue with all my other images
Yes. Once the images have synced from the Cloud to LrC the originals are placed into a default folder as specified in your preferences. At this point you can create a new folder using the folders panel and just drag the images into it.
