Arrow key on keyboard will not move to next filmstrip image

I see there has been a few like this in the past but were solved - not mine - I have just bought the new PC (as on post a week or two back I said old one kept just freezing whilst using LR) - so latest wizzo superfast etc desktop PC - downloaded LR, sync'd all pics - but arrow key does not move along filmstrip??? I have tried scroll lock on/off etc but no joy.

How very odd - the Return key does not work when cropping either - but it works in Microsoft WORD ???
 
Can you please specify the Version of Lightroom (is it 5.5 for example?)

Weird - today it’s working fine (The only thing that changed the setting up a new monitor] Lightroom version is the latest one all up-to-date
