Since my wife's iPad mini 4 won't support AI masks and is only 64 GB, I'm considering the iPad Mini 6 with 256 GB to use on a trip outside the United States so I don't have to take a laptop.

While the iPad mini doesn't have the M1 chip, I've heard that the A15 is still pretty decent.

While a lot of people may like a bigger iPad, I'm inclined toward the mini as it seems to be a decent compromise between a larger iPad and my iPhone. 11 I'd like to hearing your thoughts and experience.

FYI, I bought this stylus a few months ago, and have been pretty happy with it. It's USB rechargeable and has a genuine fine point. I'm not sure what the Apple Pen 2 offers, but this one is 1/10 the price at $13 USD.

Have you tried select subject or select sky on iPhone iPad four mini?

After yesterday’s iPad OS 16 announcements at WWDC, a major topic of conversation among iPad users is how several of the coolest new features of iOS 16 are reserved for iPads with the M1 SoC. Mostly it’s about current owners of iPads with A-series processors being quite unhappy, but of course the other half of the discussion is about how users considering an iPad are now aware that Apple has drawn a line between the A-series and M1 so that M1 iPads suddenly have a distinct advantage in the future.

Hmmmm.... Something to think of. I wonder what those features would be and how much they would matter. It also bumps the size up and the price 36%, $200 USD. Do you have more info?

Not seeing much that is life changing for the M1 surcharge.

I will just have to see if downloading an SD card from a Nikon D810 on the A15 is a good workflow for traveling without a laptop.

Looks like you found a good article! (that I hadn't seen yet)

For my uses, the desktop-like freely resizable overlapping windows, display scaling, and full external display support* will make a difference on an M1 iPad. Virtual memory swap might allow Lightroom to use more memory.

*this will make me want Secondary Display support on iPad
