When I discovered the WP world and its Media Library, I first thought that I had wrongly understood something about the way WP manages images. But this was not the case.
1. in Medial Library you have 2 options : either the files that you upload are all stored in the same folder (only one level...
Hi Andrew,
I would say, just try. If that doesn't work (that is, if the conversion to the LR 10 format doesn't occur automatically), just open the old catalog and LR will convert it. Then you'll be able to import from that catalog.
There's a very interesting package (WP/LR Sync) containing a Lightroom plugin and a WordPress extension allowing to automatically synchronize a Lightroom album with the WP Media Library. See here. Additional free WP Extensions working with WP/LR Sync also allow you to directly synchronize LR...
Charles,
I can import Funfzig mark note 1.tif without any problem but Knockaloe canteen price list.tif cannot be imported because it's not an RGB file or grayscale file. it's a bitmap file (1 bit per pixel). You didn't scan it in grayscale mode. If I convert it to grayscale / 8-bit mode in...
Charles,
Could you please make one of these files available for download (Dropbox, WeTranfer, Google Drive...) ? We could then check whether we have the same problem.
The same set of adjustments will give the same result whatever the order in which they were applied. However, a given order can lead to make different decisions (based on what you currently see after the first adjustments) and thus may lead to a different adjustment set. That's why it is...
Hi,
I have already proposed a Lightroom script allowing to directly send a RAW file from LR to another RAW processing program. Please see this thread :
If you still prefer using the Lightroom catalog...
It describes the operations for Capture One but you can easily adapt to another software...
- Imagine you've lost your catalog or it is corrupted with no backup (or your backup is also corrupted). Having the XMPs handy allows you to re-import your images along with your edits.
- You are working on some of your images on a friend's system or in your photo club. You get satisfying...
Hmmm! If the problem appears on both MacOS and Windows, I guess this is not an OS problem but yet another side effect of using LUA as a development language (a choice that I'm questioning since years). AFAIK, LUA is case sensitive, so when dealing with file paths and file names in an OS that is...
My mistake : wherever I wrote sRGB, this should read Adobe RGB. This doesn't change anything to my other statements. Just, the possible color shifts between Prophoto and Adobe RGB are smaller.
Hi,
Let's assume that there's no problem with the calibration of both displays (which is likely to be the case since the problem sometimes disappears during editing as you mentioned above).
Lightroom uses 2 different ways of displaying images in the Develop module and in all other modules...
Hi,
The order in which you make your settings will not affect the final result but it may affect the "feeling" that you have about your image and therefore affect the choices that you are making. You may or may not decide to apply such or such setting depending on what you are currently seeing...
