Hmmm. Not sure. Here's a screen grab. Two full seconds of lag for image data to match the next photo as I arrow-key through them. That's new behavior with this release for me.
Anyone else seeing dodgy/laggy behavior in the side panel? Takes a second or two to populate basic info—title, caption, etc.
I'm running LRC11 on a 2021 Macbook Pro M1 Max with 64 gigabytes of RAW, so speed shouldn't be an issue. Didn't have a chance to experience new LR on my 2019 MBP, so not...
As I'm watching the size of my LR library swell on a Macbook Pro without expandable storage, I find myself wondering what the downside would be to converting all of my final edits (PSD) from 16-bit to 8-bit. I know that once the conversion is made, I lose data that can't be recovered. However...
This approach would (needlessly) create multiple instances of the same file and bake-in the LR adjustments. The whole point if LR is non-destructive editing on top of a base file—which should be editable without issue once the catalog link with the file is established.
Thanks Johan, but after 11+ years, I'm comfortable with how 'Edit Original' and 'Save vs Save As" are supposed to work. I'm merely saying that the way LR is behaving for me has changed. I have never had to return to the history panel to re-apply LR adjustments after re-saving a PSD that's...
Thanks. I guess I've never had to return to the history panel in order for my LR adjustments to be applied to a re-saved PSD already in my catalog. At least I know my LR work isn't lost and that it's recoverable with a single click.
For the past couple days, I’ve been experiencing some inexplicable LR behavior that led to a fruitless 3hr struggle session with Adobe Support.
I’m using LR Classic CC 8.2 + 11.2 camera raw on MacBook Pro running latest rev of Mojave. My normal workflow is to import RAW to catalog, and edit in...

Hi! Wondering if anyone else is experiencing MUCH slower than normal export, particularly with virtual copies I have converted to B&W in LR. Normally very snappy exports. Wondering...
Moving the catalog to a directory on SSD is an easy thing, though it kind of unsettles me a bit as I would have my LR assets scattered across two drives. I back up both independently, so probably more of an anal-retentive thing than an actual issue. *sigh*
As far as the cache goes, do I want...
