Jim,
Sorry about the sloppy specs RE what I wanted to do. I used Victoria's directions to chance the capture date year. I then used the file renaming option which fixed the file names based upon the capture date. Thanks for clarifying the need for two separate operations!
I apparently forgot to change the date from 2022 to 2023 in my Nikon D700 on the first of the year. So when I uploaded images shot yesterday on 01/21/23 they were uploaded into LR with the time/date 01/21/22. Is there an easy way to change just the year in the file names of those 67 images?
Thanks!
Whoops! I solved my own problem. I recently traded in some of my old camera gear and before doing so I wanted to check shutter actuation counts. Some of the free apps online that calculate shutter activations require jpegs so I reset all my cameras to jpeg from RAW. I figured I might as well get...
My old reliable Nikkor 70-300 lens was getting pretty tired after shooting in excess of 100,000 shots so I recently traded it in at B&H for the newer AF-P version. I mounted this lens on my Nikon D500 today and it seems to work fine so far although I haven't run any lens tests on it yet. But...
I already tried that and it had no effect. The weird thing is that you can sit at the keyboard alternately hitting the shortcut keys E& D anf LR will make the switch flawlessly five or six times and then either slow down appreciably or literally hang up. I had this problem once before and then...
Since upgrading to LR 6.14 a couple of years ago I have noticed that switching back and forth between the Library and Develop modes has become rather problematic. Sometimes when I hit the shortcut D key while in Library mode the transition takes place quickly, sometimes slowy. At other times I...
Hal,
I just revisited the problem and noticed something I had not noticed before. To whit the screwy EV fractionalized numbers only appeared on images that I had processed with Topaz Denoise and Gigapixel. Apparently something happens within those apps that cause this to occur.
Thanks!
Recently my exposure compensation info set up to display in loup view began displaying as a fraction instead of -1, +2 etc. What do I need to do to change it back?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Jim I suspected that would be the way to do it but having had my share of LR file management problems in the past I wanted to be sure. Thanks for the heads up! Much appreciated.
My folder structure is based upon Years. Images made in 2020 are stored in dated subfolders under that year, etc. As my image collection has grown I have adopted a policy of keeping only the last two years (2019, 2020) on my iMacs internal drive, earlier years are stored on multiple external...
In Victoria's excellent LR 6 Missing Manual the lens correction panel is shown with 4 options: Basic, Profile, Color, Manual. Yet when I click on the Lens Corrections panel in my copy of LR 6.14 I get only 2 options: Profile, Manual (see screen shots below). Any idea what's causing this? Do I...
Whoops! It turns out I celebrated victory a bit too soon...
When I got the catalog back from Victoria I made a few small edits to one image and then closed Lightroom with Check Integrity and Optimize Catalog checked and the backup took a little less than 10 minutes to complete. So it appeared...
