Copying Lightroom Classic to Another Computer

That is what I have done in the past. I installed a "travel catalog" on my old laptop. While on the road, I used this to back up my images, organize them into a collection & add keywords & captions. Then, when I got home, I would export the "travel catalog" into my desktop computer for editing...

Copying Lightroom Classic to Another Computer

Thank you for the clarification. But just to be sure that I got things correct, in summary: Log into my Creative Cloud account on Adobe's website with the MBA. Then download the LR Classic app. Next, from my iMac, copy & install the master LR catalog to the MBA. If necessary, delete any missing...

Copying Lightroom Classic to Another Computer

Cletus: I'm a bit unclear by what you mean. Could you please elaborate? Otherwise I think that your 1st option would work fine. Thank you.

Copying Lightroom Classic to Another Computer

This is a remedial question. But I want to make sure that I am not overlooking something. I plan to use a new MacBook Air to back up image files that I shoot while traveling. Since I only need to copy the Lightroom Classic app from my iMac to the MacBook Air (not the catalog/image files froim...

"All Synced Photographs": A Couple of Questions

That certainly might have been the case. To be honest, I was not aware that the small box to the left of the collection name was a "sync box". Thank you.

"All Synced Photographs": A Couple of Questions

Thank you, Jim. I appreciate your explanation. Apparently the collection that I previously created is indeed synced. So it behooves me to simply leave the All Synced Photographs collection alone. That is not a problem for me. But I am still trying to figure out why the images are synced since...

"All Synced Photographs": A Couple of Questions

Having some spare time on my hands, I was curious why in the Catalog Panel I had about a thousand images in the All Synced Photographs collection. It is my understanding (which could be totally wrong!) that images in this collection are from using Lightroom Mobile. If I am correct, this is...

Can't Move Lightroom Classic Between Displays

Cletus, you nailed it! Apparently the second display was indeed in full-screen mode. Problem solved...thanks to you.

Can't Move Lightroom Classic Between Displays

I am NOT in full-screen mode. Other apps can be easily moved from one display to the other; but not Lightroom. This only seemed to occur recently. Also, I failed to mention, that occasionally Lightroom will snap from one display to the other on its own.

Can't Move Lightroom Classic Between Displays

I am using LR Classic 9.2 on an iMac27 connected to an external NEC display. I recently noticed that I can no longer drag & drop LR from one display to another. Can you please help? Thank you kindly.

    Defringing a B&W Photo

    Defringing a B&W Photo

Thank you for your response. I suspected that LR might not be able to deal with this. But, truth be known, the fringing issue is really not critical for my purposes. Nevertheless, I will take a look at the site you suggested. Thanks again.

    Defringing a B&W Photo

These are old archival images I downloaded from the internet. Sveeral were taken 50 years ago. So the original quality is questionable at best. The fringing is "white". Over sharpening is not an issue unless, of course, they were sharpened at the time of capture. Defringing via the Lens...

    Defringing a B&W Photo

I have several old B&W images that have considerable fringing along the edges. Is there a way to eliminate this using Lightroom 9? Thank you so much!

    NEC's MDSV Calibration Sensor

I am also looking at the X-rite i!Display Pro. From what I understand, it is virtually the same as the NEC version but usable on all displays.
