    Lost Connection Suddenly

Hi I copied 10,000 pics from an old PC to an external drive in order to connect with lightroom on my new(ish) PC. This was ok except that in Lightroom on my new PC it wouldn't open the files to "edit in photoshop" - apparently becuase the external drive wasn't set to NFST. So I converted the...

    New Import from External Drive

    New Import from External Drive

Hi - thanks. No I don't have a network that the two machines are part of. they are not connected in any way. Is there a way that now that the external drive is attached (and can remain attached to the newer PC) that I can get the ownership across to it?

    New Import from External Drive

Argh - new problem though - when I do the normal right click to open one of these newly imported images to edit in photoshop a message appears saying "Lightroom was unable to prepare the selected file at G:\NCFC Cr2 for editing. It will not be opened" Any ideas what is happening here?

I wanted to check - how do I import the pics into Lightroom so I can edit them whilst keeping them on the same external drive (rather than storing the original images twice...

Hi The scroller that is normally at the bottom of the film strip (along the bottom of the screen) has disappeared meaning I can't easily flick between sections of the film strip. Any ideas how to get it back? Thanks... John
