Any plugin or approach to dump out collection/image data to excel or access?

I'll give that a go I think and see how well it works, the large catalog is on a server I don't really use for editing at all (I have previously used a current catalog on my laptop for editing that eventually gets merged into this big catalog). If I import on my Ipad, full sized originals make...

Any plugin or approach to dump out collection/image data to excel or access?

Cheers, that's interesting, do the smart previews not count towards the plan storage at all? And I guess I would need to retain the photography plan for syncing.....quite attractive retaining everthing in the cloud.

Yes, had considered this but too expensive, the images are approaching 6Tb so lots of dosh to Adobe and the number of images is only going to go in one direction :-) Using Classic without the subscription is going to be fine for me and is actually the best outcome I could have hoped for really! :)

Perfect, thanks both, puts my mind at rest and I now have a pretty good way forward. Much appreciated!

Any plugin or approach to dump out collection/image data to excel or access?

Hi Roelof, didn't know this was the case tbh so had not even considered it! This would be exactly what I want though. How does it work? I change the plan and then presumably no further updates to classic but can still run it to look into the catalog? I presumed startup would be blocked without...

Any plugin or approach to dump out collection/image data to excel or access?

As part of my quest to move from Classic to a mobile workflow I have now decided to draw a line under my large classic catalog and move to a fully mobile workflow. Obviously, I would prefer to change my subscription to the LR plan but this means I will lose access to LR Classic. Not a big deal...

Is a full move to the cloud based service really possible?

Cheers Jim, that has worked very nicely and will save me a ton of time! Much appreciated!

Is a full move to the cloud based service really possible?

Cheers, maybe LR classic is not as optimised on the PC as mac? The laptop is a Dell 9550, i7 processor running on an NVMe drive, not externals, shouldn't be slow (although you're right, could be other bits and pieces working on the PC although everything else seems to work at (just about)...

Is a full move to the cloud based service really possible?

Cheers, so I think what you are saying here, in reference to my original question - Is a full move to the cloud based service really possible? is probably no (at least if I want to maintain a large archive of images like I already have)! I can see me just using the desktop version for archiving...

Is a full move to the cloud based service really possible?

Folks, I've been an LR desktop user since it was originally released. I have one very large catalog with over 300,000 images and smaller catalogs that together make up this large catalog. My current workflow is to import onto an Ipad (and this is where most of my editing takes place now too)...

Selecting multiple contiguous images in grid view......

After much frustration I have worked how to get this working! So, I select a single image and then double tap on the same image, sometimes this unselect the image and I need to start again and sometimes it allows me to multi select. Not perfect but I’ll take it! Cheers for all the replies, all...

Selecting multiple contiguous images in grid view......

Aye, this works but is a bit of a pain when selecting a large number of images from an even larger batch......

Selecting multiple contiguous images in grid view......

Tried this; 1 Select an image, it gets a blue check mark. >> works 2. Lift your finger. .>> cool Double tap and keep your finger down to Select a second image. It gets a check mark. With your finger still on that 2nd image drag your finger left or right to another unselected image. It will gain...
