    Returning to the fold

Hey folks, I've been away from lightroom for a year or more. I was a long term desktop user since LR1, but a change of computer (surface pro!) meant unable to use a second monitor (microsoft have a small list of known issue monitors, sod's law mine was on that list!). It also seemed to struggle...

    Classic more popular than Cloud?

Hi, I've just noticed the Classic CC forums on here have 4 times more threads/posts than the "Cloud" CC forums - is that an indicator of the popularity of the 2 versions amongst the folks on here? I returned to Lightroom after a long break last month ... went for "Cloud" but now I'm wondering...

    Getting started... pictures invalid

Well, here goes .... I have a new windows tablet ... and a new subscription to Lightroom CC. I started the upload process a few days ago (20k pics) and its finally completed. Well, apart from the 3k pics & videos it says are invalid ... red exclamation mark. What do I do? Kind of defeats the...

Using only CC on iOS and Android

Are there minimum system requirements for Lightroom CC? I can find the requirements for Windows & Mac OS, but nothing for iOS or Android. I was actually contemplating getting a Surface Pro 2017, but one of the lower end models.

Using only CC on iOS and Android

Great list - CC it is then! I didnt use any of the extra classic features when I last had LR. This will make you chuckle ... I went on to Adobe Sales live chat earlier ... told them I only had tablet/smartphone ... they suggested Classic! I said I wanted lots of cloud storage ... they suggested...

Using only CC on iOS and Android

Thank you ... is there an up-to-date list of features across the two versions? I have found old lists, and wondered what the current standing is?

Using only CC on iOS and Android

I'm contemplating getting rid of my windows laptop and MacMini. I would be left with just a phone and tablet (android, iOS or both). If I was to take out a Lightroom CC subscription .... ? My photos would be uploaded direct from my phone, and from camera via tablet. I cant see it mentioned...

Quickly add a border to exported jpeg

    I'll give it a go ... have never had a printer ....

Quickly add a border to exported jpeg

Cheers ... is there a way to fill the "paper" with the image and border, i.e. to not have the white around the edges?

Quickly add a border to exported jpeg

Fab, thank you. I do think adding a simple stroke border should be an option in the export menu.

Quickly add a border to exported jpeg

My workflow is very simple for 99% of my images .... weekly upload of my photos, click auto, camera calibration>fuji b&w. Export jpeg with medium sharpening. That's it. Occasionally I'll spend a few hours working on something for a large print, but usually I'm sharing photos of the family with...

    Importing Duplicates?

Yes the reason I asked is because what Victorian said should happen isn't, i.e.

    Importing Duplicates?

Hmmm .... I am having a problem with duplicates which I believe should be spotted but aren't: 1. Import Fuji raw files files (batch "A"), these are converted to DNG in LR 2. A few days later import new Fuji RAW files (batch "B") from the same card, which still contains batch A 3. LR imports all...

Pixelized image after adjustment brush used to add negative clarity

Bingo! Thanks! I didn't realise it would have such an effect even when painting in clear areas. You can tell I'm a bit new to all of this :)

Pixelized image after adjustment brush used to add negative clarity

I'm using the adjustment brush in LR 5.7 to smooth crinkles on a sheet, so have painted a large area and put clarity slider to minus 100. Zooming in on the image, with the masked visible, you can see numerous pixels not painted... any idea what is going on? Repeatedly painting over the area...
