Hi. But Lightroom doesn’t seem to be building the previews since I deleted the previous previews. Whenever I browse the external drive, it is very slow while Lightroom builds a preview before I can see the image in the loupe view.
I’ve done a restart of Lightroom after removing the preview file...
I had some space issues on my drive and have removed the previews within lightroom. After resolving these issues i am now recreating the standard size previews, but Lightroom gets to 30502 out of 61867 (i think these are the already created previews as it gets to this number in a minute or so)...

Thanks Jim, i am trying to reduce the amount of space i am using, but want to keep all photos in the collections they are in. I use collections for organisation, so if a photo is inadvertently removed from a collection it will cause me problems...
What negative consequences will happen if I unsync all collections? (apart from removing them from the cloud?)
Will all images that are in the cloud remain in Classic and all photos remain in any collections?

I think in this instance it will be easier to use a manual export from OSX photos and import into lightroom desktop. To ensure all photos are imported.
Is there a method on iOS Lightroom to say only import and upload new photos from the camera roll, or am i going to need to empty...
If i deleted the pictures from the lightroom cloud, how would Lightroom on my iPhone know which photos from the iOS camera roll it has or has not already imported?

Ive done a couple of tests to work out what is happening.
When i export photos from Apple Photos on OSX they get exported as two files, a .jpg and a .mov. You can then import these files back into Apple Photos and they get merged back to a live photo.
