Paul - thanks for the reminder of the Exiftool and the tip on using it for metadata. I used it sometime back when the photographer made the shift from Aperture to Lightroom...although I don't quite remember why I was using it. I'm more comfortable in the data EXIF world than than visual image...

Johan - confirm that when I export an edited image from LR with "include all metatdata" but without write-XMP , it creates the JPG or TIFF edited photo but without the specific detail on adjustments made in LR. In your opinion, does a client's webmaster or art director needed the adjustment...
