Importing from two different sets of 200 folders into a single set

Thanks to both @johnbeardy and @Gnits ! Despite using Macs from approximately the Paleolithic era onward, I was unaware of (or perhaps more likely, once aware of, but had forgotten), the Finder's merge feature, which worked just fine as suggested. Before receiving the responses this morning...

Importing from two different sets of 200 folders into a single set

Background Several years ago I sent my analog negative and print collection (about 10000 images) to be scanned by an outside service, and received the scans back as tiff files. A year ago, the service started offering AI "face enhancement" (with results similar to what can be done with Topaz...

    import from hard drive

I am not a Lightroom expert, but I believe that this is what is going on: LRC recognizes that your source is a network/cloud and is warning you that you may have issues since such a drive is only accessible while you are connected to the internet. Here is a link to a post in the Adobe Lightroom...

Apply Text Labels to Multiple Images ay the Same Time

The ability to choose between "Target Photo" and "Selected Photos" is relatively new (I don't remember the exact version when it was introduced). The old behavior was that changes always applied to "Selected Photos".

    Jeffrey Friedl "mostly retired"

 I was looking something up on his website about one of his plug-ins, and I noticed that right above the box, where one enters a comment he wrote , IMPORTANT: I'm mostly retired, so I don't check comments often anymore, sorry. Jeffrey has been such an important part of the success of...

Did you find that it worked? If so, where's the feature located?

Presets questions and reorg, Part 2–Local adjustment brush presets

OK, so in the LR interface for Local Adjustment Brushes, there are the following built-in presets. Does anyone know where they are located in the filesystem?

    Improving over digitally zoomed images

Definitely! But, my wife has small (and arthritic) hands and finds the size of modern iPhones to be too large to handle easily. The size of the iPhone SE is the largest phone she feels she can manage easily. I haven't broken the news to her yet that the upcoming refresh of the iPhone SE is...

    Improving over digitally zoomed images

My wife has a third generation iPhone SE. That has a pretty limited camera. Despite my urging her not to do this, she regularly zooms in digitally to compose and frame the picture she wants. The problem with that, of course, is that the result is a pretty poor looking image with oversized...

Presets questions and reorg, Part 1–Develop presets

Well, while I can understand your reasoning, I am having a hard time squaring the notion that the Premium folder comes from a third party with the fact that all of these folders (Adobe,Premium, etc.) are also (at least on a Mac) are contained inside the application bundle! If you look at the...

Presets questions and reorg, Part 2–Local adjustment brush presets

This is a companion to this thread about Develop presets; I decided to start a new threat because this is about Local Adjustment Brush presets, not Develop presets. This is simpler than develop presets, I think. I can only find two locations with local adjustment brush presets: At...

Presets questions and reorg, Part 1–Develop presets

The screenshot has the folders open with what look like presets but I can't find them in the LR interface (which, of course, doesn't mean they aren't there...)

Presets questions and reorg, Part 1–Develop presets

I don't think so. Per #7 in the OP, those folders (including Premium), are found inside the Lightroom Classic application bundle as well as in the usual location for develop presets. I would hope that a third party wouldn't install there's stuff inside the app!

@Johan Elzenga : Thank you very much for your succinct but nevertheless very clear answers.
