  • The May 2019 Lightroom updates are now available. There's a brand new slider called Texture, available across the whole family of apps. Lightroom Classic includes a new tool called Flat Field Correction. Lightroom (cloud-based service) has lots of big improvements including cloud trash, invitation-only web galleries, improved chromatic aberration removal and more. The Missing FAQ and Edit Like a Pro eBooks are already updated for the changes. You'll also notice the CC's have disappeared off the end of the names, so we've updated the forum names to match.

Batch crop copy/paste dev. settings issue "An internal error has occurred: ?:0:.."

I decided to go and submit my first bug report, I was redirected to the Photoshop family community powered support where I submitted the problem and also linked back to here :) Here's the report: http://gsfn.us/t/4hy5h

Batch crop copy/paste dev. settings issue "An internal error has occurred: ?:0:.."

Thanks Victoria, or should I call you Vic, Vicky or Lightroom Queen? he he he... Maybe I'll just stick to Victoria for now ;) So, do you think it's worth submitting bug reports for things like this? Are users supposed to just get to grips with the fact that errors about 'arithmetic' are in fact...

Batch crop copy/paste dev. settings issue "An internal error has occurred: ?:0:.."

**Resolved** Ok I managed to resolve the issue. I had earlier suspected that a video file creeping into the set of images was causing the issue as I knew that videos could not be resized so I very early on used the filter to view just video files. There were no video files, and upon a quick...

Batch crop copy/paste dev. settings issue "An internal error has occurred: ?:0:.."

The steps are: - select an image and then crop to 16:9 - copy settings checking only the process version, and all crop boxes (all crop sub-boxes checked) - pasting to a single image (seems to work) - pasting settings to a set of images after a few seconds now (which is different to the initial...

    Hi all and a question

I think a good philosophy here is to keep learning on LR4 until you get to the stage where you just happening to hear about and learn about features which you simply cannot live without on the jump up to 5. I know great photographers in their own right who are still using versions 2, 3 and 4...

No small device owned -questioning Lr 5.4 install

I've just been blindly updating version to version and so far this has fixed more issues than it has caused however I've also been quite a few steps behind in some cases, but now for the first time a new error has come about (which I've opened a thread about) which I don't believe has ever come...

5.4 caused plug-ins and extras to disappear

Whilst it's great updating the app when possible, which fixes some bugs in some cases and I'm stating the obvious here but maybe rolling back to the previous version is a temporary measure that is worth considering (although you may have already considered this, and avoided this backwards...

Batch crop copy/paste dev. settings issue "An internal error has occurred: ?:0:.."

**Issue Resolved** Solution posted as reply below I have recently updated to Lightroom 5.4 and I am attempting to apply a 16:9 crop on a batch of images. I've managed to perform other functions and have many other preset creation actitivities and copying/pasting of settings and functions appear...

    Lightroom 4 beta released

I was actually just thinking earlier when in the 'extending Lightroom' section that it would be handy if there was a means of geotagging photos from within LR and then I found the link to download the beta with no clue at all there would be a map module! It's like approaching the tree on...

    Lightroom 4 beta released

So... nobody has talked about how it is going revolutionise things for them, or started listing the benefits that they will begin to implement when it is launched, or even right away! I'm downloading the beta right now and somewhat excited! I'm so glad I decided to have a browse round the...

    Organizing/categorizing photo in LR

I think it's worth mentioning that once using Lightroom it's well worth creating collections to organise the photos within Lightroom, and if you have a lot of collections creating collection sets and organising your collections into these sets. You can have 1 image appearing in several...

    Importing issues with certain files

Yep, I've just tried again and re-saving using 'Save As' rather than simply saving over the original also doesn't appear to clear up the problem, so some part of the corrupt or non-standard data is being kept even when re-saving the file in the same or a different format.

    Importing issues with certain files

That is a very good response and would probably solve the problem in some cases, but in this case I'll explain what has happened. Photoshop has been used to edit the files, which still contain all my original metadata, including stars and colours which have been applied. I have tried batch...

    Importing issues with certain files

I'm having an issue importing JPGS which have been externally retouched. The images are showing up in the import dialogue when simply 'adding' the images (rather than copying or moving). There are 240 images, and during the first import 8 images imported into my catalogue (instead of 240) and...

Graduated filters creating a dark line - cleaning up white backgrounds

The time it was taking in Lightroom to use local adjustments to get this effect turned out to be a little faster than what I would expect doing clipping paths in paths in Photoshop, but even just spending just 5 or so minutes would have taken too long for 240 images, so I outsourced to India...
