Will the latest version of LR6 run on OS X 10.9.5 (Mavericks)?

Will the latest version of LR6 run on OS X 10.9.5 (Mavericks)?
One last question. Is there a version greater than 6.0 that still works on Mavericks? I'm still running 6.0. I was hoping I could move up, maybe not all the way to 6.10, but maybe something in between? How can I find out? Thanks- Alfredo Jahn

Will the latest version of LR6 run on OS X 10.9.5 (Mavericks)?
I have LR 6 6.0 on my macbook pro running Mavericks. I also have it on my iMac running El Capitan. I was thinking up getting up to date with the latest version 6.10.1. Will it run on both my macs? Is it still backward compatible on Mavericks? I don't want to try and run the setup and have it...- Alfredo Jahn
