Hi,
I'm just dumping my photos off my iphone and moving them to LR cloudy. (Phone is full so deleting them off there and only having them in LR cloudy.)
One thing I'd miss is where the phone generates little video montages based on photos of people, scenes etc.

I realise that LR isn't the same kind of thing and won't do this but it's actually really cool on the phones - and WIndows photos app.

I wondered whether there were any plugins or such like where I can generate those kind of things.
Thanks for any tips on how to be able to do this.

Unfortunately Lightroom Desktop doesn't support plugins. But others may be able to suggest software you can export the images to that produce montages.

I just had a go at seting up the default Windows Photos app to read from my local LR originals folder... That way I get smart albums, "this day" etc. Could be a nice little add on.

I figure as long as I don't edit anything from the photos app, I'm ok?

** Anyone think of any problems with this? My main concern - am I at risk of corrupting my LR catalogue?!! **

As long as you don't move the photos elsewhere, or overwrite any originals, that should be fine.

But that also means that Windows Photos will only be able to show you the original unedited versions of your images....that may not matter to you of course, but it would certainly bother me!

Hi Jim, good point. That doesn't bother me.... until I start thinking about it.....
Yes, very good point. Hmmmmm..... not ideal

Thanks for the reply!
