Title says most of it.

Recent upgrade to LR Classic 12.0.1., on Macos Monterey 12.6.1

I back up the catalog on every exit, to a folder on my (Synology) NAS. This has worked reliably under previous versions of LrC.

Now, I reliably get this error message towards the end of the backup process:

Lightroom was unable to back up the catalog named “Lightroom Catalog-v12”

I have checked:
- that there is space on the NAS drive
- that the permissions on the NAS drive allow read and write for everybody (Linux permissions on the drive root and all the subfolders are 777)

I can back up successfully from LR to the local hard drive (into the Desktop folder), and I can copy the resulting folder and contents to the relevant place on the NAS.

So I'm a bit stumped!

Thanks for any help

Geoff

I've just learned that it's a known bug in 12.0.1. Workaround for now is saving to a local drive.

Now receiving this msg, having just moved LR Classic files over to a new computer. (Thanks, Victoria, for the step-by-step you put together). Will do a copy via backup software, and await a fix.
