since I updated to version 11.5 this no longer works...anyone else have this problem?

is this a 'thing'?

I would check the security section of Preferences to make sure Lightroom Classic has full access to removable volumes.

I find that it is erratic. Right after a reboot it works, but after a few days it stops auto detecting the cards.

It’s a bug that I have already reported to Adobe.

Ahh, thanks Johan. I tried to do a search here but didn't know what words to use to find 'it'.

It's strange too. Now, after I save an image in LRc, export, I get a window showing me where that saved file is. The trail so to speak. Lightroom has never done that before.

all my adobe software had/has access...but thanks for this, I've never hunted in that area of security before...

In the very last section of the Export dialogue, there's a field where you specify what to do after the export. One of the options in that field is "Show in Finder". That's probably what yours is set to.
