The online Lightroom Virtual Summit is back! We know loads enjoyed the Lightroom Summit last year, and this year the format is the same:

5 days, 15 instructors teaching 45 classes, over 33 hours of education.

Check the dates - October 3 - 7, 2022. Once again this year we have the opportunity to watch all the classes for free. Once a class is released we'll have 48 hours to watch (and rewatch) the class for free. After 48 hours the classes get archived to the VIP Member area (an optional purchase).

Click here to get your free pass now (VIP Passes are also available).

Looking forward to seeing the line-up of classes when I get chance. Wonder how many have changed from last year's summit.

I recommend this to our local photo club.
In my opinion, everybody can learn something from one or more talks.
It is one of the best deals going.

Looks like a great deal! But where is Victoria?
I turned them down again this year I'm afraid. I have my hands full with keeping both books updated. I'd definitely recommend it for those who enjoy video content though, which is why we're happy to promote it.

If you've read (and absorbed) Vicoria's book and have the Laura Shoe videos, is it worth paying for the VIP pass, do you think? Jim

The summit will have speakers discussing a variety of techniques at all skill levels. I would recommend looking in detail at the line-up if you have not done so already. I learned a number of new techniques when I attended the last LR summit.

IMO, whether you pay for the subscription or not depends upon your overall skill level, and whether you have the time to watch what you want to during the week. I am retired, so I can make the time available. What I like about the talks is that I find I can always pick up a tip or a trick on various topics. I will have LRC open on my second screen, and will sometimes try the trick/tip as I hear about it. If I do that, I have not paid for the VIP pass as you get a couple of days in which to watch them.

I did not pay for the VIP pass and tired to watch the videos each night (as I work during the day), but it started to become overwhelming. But given what I watched, I think that the early bird VIP price is not unreasonable to what you can have access to on demand. I am not sure I would buy it each year, but it is worth looking at the lineup for each summit.

I still learn stuff from other people... see which talks interest you and whether you'll be able to watch them while they're live or not.

Note if you're thinking of buying a VIP Pass: If you're thinking of purchasing a VIP Pass, they're currently subject to a generous Early Bird discount - the discount expires today (as the Summit starts tomorrow) - so check it out now!

The VIP Pass is available to watch the classes at a date and time to suit you (no time limits at all). They include extras, such as several Bonus videos, free Presets and more.

I made it in time to take advantage of the early bird special this year. Looking forward to watching the videos at my leisure.

Isnt the summit a month premature considering a major (annual) update will be out later this month?

For my photo club, the timing is perfect. We have few advanced users, and a lot of novice to intermediate users. IMO, the latter group benefits the most from the summit talks. Also, if there are new features coming out, the speakers need some time to put together meaningful talks.

I find it interesting that even the instructors mix up Lightroom and Lightroom Classic.
I am a LR Classic user, not LR(Cloudy). A couple of the talks say in their titles Lightroom when they mean LR Classic. I started a couple of talks titled LR, thinking LR Classic - and was surprised when they clarified they were using LR (Cloudy).
Nothing really lost, but ...

I didn't sign up for the VIP (how much was that anyway?) but I've had time to go through all the classes I wanted to. The only downside was I had to take lots of notes because there was so much to absorb and not being a VIP I didn't get any classnotes. It is worthi it though. I've learned how to use things I never used before. The one I liked the most was anything to do with Masking.

A VIP pass was $99.
