I downloaded and installed it this morning. It is looking pretty good so far on a limited set of photos. Auto tone seems to be working better. Overall, it seems a bit faster as well.

Were you guys able to update to Camera Raw 7.4?
I tried to update through Photoshop CS6 and then the Adobe Application Manager, but it says everything is up-to-date,
yet when I check "Help -> About Plug-In -> Camera Raw", it says my version of Camera Raw is Version 7.3.0.71.

Is there another way to update to Camera Raw 7.4?

I don't use CS6, just PS Elements 10; and Elements won't use this version of CR.
Having LR use it is enough for me.

Jim, that's my point, if I don't have CR 7.4, will all the functions in LR still work properly?
Unless I'm mistaken, I seem to recall way back that there was some problems with "Edit in" if CR wasn't up-to-date...

Earlier today I updated both LR and ACR with no problems. Chris, to update ACR open PSCS6, click help then click updates - you should then see ACR 7.4 ready to download. After updating LR and PS I went back to cleanout and delete old update .exe files, I had all the LR updates back to 3.1. I was amazed at how much the size of the update files have changed. LR 3.4.1 was 207,907kb while LR 4.4 was 806,866kb.

Robert, please read my first post (post #3 in this thread), I DID try to update through PS CS6.

Based on what I wrote in post #3 is why I posted this question...

I suggest that you just keep trying. Someone on another forum was having the same problem you are earlier today. But eventually she was able to get the update and get it installed. I just think that sometimes it takes a little while for everything to synchronize.

I on't think so anymore Chris and Lightroom works fine without PS or its updates!!

...Geoff is correct about Lightroom itself not needing the ACR update, but as you remember correctly, mismatches between Lr and PS/ACR versions can cause 'Edit In...' problems.

As I came to check what had been posted here, I started PS to try the update again, and see there, now the update to CR 7.4 is available.
Looks like Jim was right.

So I'm letting CR update, and will install the LR update when I get up in the morning (or afternoon as the case may be)!

Just setting up my new MacBook Pro after my 17" was stolen. Was not looking forward to installing my existing software but Adobe made a piece of cake :)
Now it perfect, upgraded all my NIK apps, Revell et al. Take a bow Adobe :)
