Hi,
I used Blurb's BookWright for my last photobook in 2019, so apologies if the answer to this is obvious to more experienced users of the Book module: why do page numbers sometimes disappear and what is the easiest way to get them back?
In a bit more detail: certain page edits cause the page number to disappear, for no apparent reason. The Control + Click page popup menu items "Hide Page Number", "Start Page Number" and "Apply Page Number Style Globally" have no visible effect. An empty small page number box IS visible in the assigned place (Lower left corner of Left pages only, in this case) but trying a "Select All" on the invisible (non-existent?) contents and re-visiting the type spec controls to ensure the right settings have no effect either.
What am I doing wrong?

I cannot replicate your problem with Page Numbers (although I did briefly see the 'empty' number box once), but if I [Hide Page Number] I can then Right-click on a page to [Show Page Number].
Try resetting Page Numbers in the Page Panel- Uncheck then Re-Check. This might 'refresh' all the page numbers.

Thanks Rob, useful suggestions! They sometimes work for me; other times not :confused:. However, I can now add something ...
... Copying and pasting format from one page to another seems to be one cause: I was sometimes doing that to insert a page or ensure formats were consistent. I now create custom pages once I have a finalised format, then use the 'Add Page' button and choose the appropriate Custom page. So far, this seems to avoid problems with page numbers.
Fingers crossed...
