Is v10.3 actually released? I ask because my computer says that v10.2 is up-to-date.

Thank you.

I must apologize. I did not realize that I had Lightroom open in the Develop module when it opened for the first time after the upgrade and my files were not visible. Once I opened Library, all was intact and the upgrade had obviously been completed without a hitch. I could blame it on a senior moment.
The update progressively works its way around the globe, so some users get it before others Yes, it's definitely released, so open the Creative Cloud desktop app and do Help>Check for Updates....that might promote the updates.

Is there any inform Adobe re Memory requirements for the New M1 chips in the Apple silicone processors. 8gb or 16gb. I would like to know before
purchasing.

Rob

I will book appointment at the apple Store first have a good look and ask a load of questions. Waited this long few more weeks ok.
Sun shinning over here so outside calls.

Go for the 27"

Currently, the 27” iMac is still intel only. Since the 24” sits in between the discontinued 21” and the Intel 27” iMacs, it may be that both the 21” and 27” are being phased out. Or Apple could release a larger iMac that has a screen size larger than 27”.

Sometime in the past, I had a 27” iMac. I moved to a smaller space and the size was too big for my built in desk. I opted for the 21” to fit my workspace. And I found that I was happy working with that size and a 27” HD(1920X1080) secondary monitor. The 24” iMac will be cheaper for the specs and if there is an M1 iMac larger than 24”, I’m not planning to wait.

I downloaded the upgrade for Lightroom Classic 10.3 and my photos are missing. How do I get it to open the old catalogue?

You should have opened the master catalog automatically when you upgraded from 10.2 to 10.3.

Open your master catalog and if the images are marked with a (!) then you need to make sure the volume is mounts and (if in Windows using the same drive letter as before)

I am at a bit of a loos on what to do. I downloaded Lightroom Classic 10.3 (Mac) and expected everything to open up normally when the program opened. It did open but no photos or files or backup drives, that were normally displayed , were all missing. I know that everything si still on the computer, I just do not know how to bring up the displays to enable me to continue.m I did double click on the most recent catalogue but that brought up a small file of photos from several years ago - still not the major collection. I have never had this problem before with updates but I am not impressed with the current situation. I do have daily backups but am concerned that a restore will not solve the problem.

I checked my Open Recent catalogue file and found in this order Lightroom Catalog-2-V10.lcrat and Lightroom Catalog-2-V10.2lcrat which were created today, Lightroom Catalog-2.lcrat, Lightroom Catalog-4.lcrat,Lightroom, Catalog-3.lcrat, which were created in 2020, and finally Lightroom Catalog.lcrat which was created in 2018 and last on the list was Lightroom Catalog-5.lcrat created in 2020. Do you just open these individually to see which one works. If one doesn't, move on to the next. it appears that the new catalogue recently created was catalog-2-V10.

When 10.0 came out, it appended -v10 to the name, so it'll be one of those two (I would assume Lightroom Catalog-2-V10.lrcat) - look at the size of this compared to the other V10, should tell you.

I did check out the file and Lightroom Catalog-2-V10 is 1.09GB and Lightroom Catalog-2-V10-@2 is 832 mb so I should try and open the first one which is obviously the main file. Lightroom indicates that is the one that I have open but the links to my photos are still not there.
