There does not appear to be a means of wrapping text in Slideshow. Having entered captions in Library mode, then going to Slideshow the caption will come across and show below the image. If the caption falls outside the guide bars, it is, as with a medieval rack, lopped off. LrC will not wrap the text. Where there are many images (say >50) are there easy (intuitive and not labor intensive) workarounds? Adobe says this is a known bug, which is not reassuring.

I think your only (painful) option is to manually add line breaks to the captions in the Metadata panel. You can do that by typing Ctrl + Enter/Return.

I am doin this from memory, but I think the text boxes are resizable. Change the width and the height and the text will wrap to fit in the box. Normally the width expands to fit the text, but you can make the height two or more lines high and shorten the width. Then the text will wrap to fit the text box.
Since your Captions will vary, one size text box will rarely accommodate all Captions.

Thanks for the thoughts! I tried your suggestion (actually tried it before as well) and what I found is I could indeed enlarge the text box, or shrink it, and that will change the text size. But no matter what I did it would not wrap the text. Too much text and it gets lopped off for the slide. LrC allows one line, only one line. If you can get it to wrap, that would be a wonderful thing to share! <<Well, for me, anyway>> What am I missing in getting it to wrap?

If you turn the guides on in SS you can see where the text will be lopped off, useful in figuring out how much text you are allowed to use. There appears to be a minimal size for text, itself not a bad thing if you could wrap text.
