  1. Windows 10
I have the following (attached) monitor configuration on my Windows 10 system. The left (2) monitor was recently added and since it's larger than the right, I want to run LR modules from it.

The problem is that I want the centre (1) monitor to be the second display. This is a good quality screen. If Full Screen is not selected, then when I 'show' the Secondary Display, it shows on the centre (1) monitor. As soon as go to full screen (shift-F11) the secondary display moves to the right (3) monitor. If I toggle off full screen, it comes back to the centre (1) monitor. So LR moves it back and forth for some reason.

At the moment, my only workaround is to leave Secondary Display out of full screen mode and stretch it to fit the centre (1) monitor. I've already swapped the 3 and 2 monitors on their respective USB Display connections thinking that may make a change but it didn't.

I've Googled this issue and checked the LR Queen Forums. Other people have had the issue but no one seems to have a solution.

Thoughts?

Thanks

In Windows you need to declare Monitor 1 as Monitor 2 (the Second Windows Display, Secondary Lightroom Display ) The Only problem that you face is that LR is only designed to support 2 Displays. In that case, If you open Lightroom as a window, you can drag the primary LR screen to the Monitor that you want, open it full screen and then open a LR Secondary display.
If you arrange your monitors in Monitor number order L-R, the mouse flow will be contiguous L-R.

Thanks Clee01l. I appreciate the insights and suggestion. Unfortunately, it does not look like Windows has a way to renumber the monitors without rediscovery of them. That likely means plugging 2 into the Graphics Card and 1 into the USB display.

Here are a couple of related links:
Hopefully, Adobe will come up with a method to assign the Secondary Display in the future.

It has been many years since I ran Windows and even longer tried to run LR on a 3 monitor setup. I'm sure there are lots of changes in the newer OS versions and what could be done then may not be possible now. I had a Graphics card with 2 display ports and one USB display port. It was easy for me to switch display ports on the Graffics card, But There was a method to designate Display 1 and Display 2

Does your Taskbar show up in the Display arrangement? If so, try to drag it to the monitor that you want to be #1. (This is what I have to do on my Mac).

Well, after experiencing Windows 10, I think this will be my last. When I need a new computer, it will be a Mac.

You can rearrange the order of the displays to match the physical placement so the cursor will move naturally from one to another. This does not change the assignment number.
