Slideshow won't play videos

I am putting together a LR slideshow that combines stills and videos. Outputting it to a video works, but then I have no control over moving from one slide to the next. When within Lightroom I try 'Play' in manual, the stills works fine, but at best the videos (which are max 45 seconds at 1080, standard fps) run for 6-8 seconds, then I get a black screen). Working with Adobe chat support, I have updated the Intel graphics card, under LR Performance I have checked the box to use the graphics card, and expanded both the RAW cache and the video cache to 15GB. At the moment my only remaining suspect is that my Lenovo X1 Carbon running Windows 7 Professional has 8GB of RAM. Thoughts? Ideas? Thanks in advance, all gurus.

Hi everyone -- problem solved! Suspecting RAM limitation was the culprit, ran the Windows Task Manager, and saw both Outlook and a search program I use called X1 were using significant RAM even though they were in the background and 'doing' nothing. I closed them both, and all of the problems above have disappeared; videos within slideshow now running flawlessly. That said, I'm getting more RAM on my next machine, and I have written Adobe customer support to recommend they put the fix on their troubleshooting recipes.
