I hope I am posting this in the correct place ?? I am an aviation photographer with about 1 years experience using Adobe products, for my birthday my wife has very kindly bought me a IPad Pro, I have read lots of posts and lots of videos but I am struggling with one point, most of my pictures I post to forums for aircraft, most of which require around 1200x768 or 1068 x 700 etc and for the file to be jpeg. All my pictures are taken in JPEG and whilst I can follow most steps from when I used the Mac, I can’t for the lift of me find out how to convert to jpeg and how to re-size the image, can anyone help ??

Thanks

Rob Burns

There's obviously no need to "convert to jpeg" if they already are jpeg. However, getting a specific pixel size for the exported files will be a problem using the LRCC app on the iPad, as the export options are currently very limited. Another issue is that 1200 x 768 is a rather strange image size, I don't think that equals any of the "standard" aspect ratios. 1200 x 800 is 3:2, which is much easier to achieve, or 1200 x 750 would be 16:10.

Assuming you still have access to a desktop system, the LRCC desktop app would let you crop to either of those two aspect ratios, and then you could export while setting the long edge at 1200px. But you can't do that on the iPad, so to use that you'd have to save the full resolution file to the camera roll, and then use another app to then crop the image to the desired size.

Thanks for the reply, of course I meant to say that the shots are in raw.

Not an issue.....all exports from LRCC are in the jpeg format.
