Should the image itself appear in the Preview Panel? I get the orientation, layout adjustments, guides, and background color....but not the image itself. If this is the default, it's a bit klutzy, isn't it?
 
The preview shows the layout itself (hover your cursor over the presets), so no image. There is no reason to show the image, because you normally do not zoom in when you are in the print module.
 
The print image was displayed in the preview window on my Mac up until yesterday when it changed to only show the layout pattern. I would like the preview to work as it did before, i.e. show the image, unfortunately I haven't figured out why the display changed and how to get it back.

AFAIK, the small preview window in the upper left corner of the Print module has always displayed the layout and not the image itself. See the earlier messages in this thread. Perhaps you are confused with another module.
 
Sorry, my bad, once I thought more about it I realized it wouldn't make sense for the preview to include the picture as it is already displayed in the main viewer.
