Answered elsewhere: LR6.14. is the last release of the perpetual license. It is not longer supported by Adobe. To get support you will need a subscription ~$120/yr.

Lightroom 6.14 is the last version of Lightroom 6. It will receive no further updates. It was a perpetually licensed product.
Lightroom Classic CC is the next iteration after Lightroom 6 and is currently on version 8.1. It is a subscription product.

The last update for LR6 was in December of 2017. It's still for sale at Adobe but eventually will be pulled off the shelf.

Of course, Adobe could if they wish, make 7 perpetual and cash in. Seems a bit far fetched though.
