Lightroom Classic CC (desktop-focused app) current release?

You are far behind, and you do not have Lightroom Classic CC, which is subscription only. You have the old Lightroom 6. The latest version of Lightroom Classic CC is 8.1.

It should be pointed out that all of the Lightroom releases after LR6 have been by subscription only. If you want to remain with a perpetual license, LR6.14 is as far as it goes and the last update for it was about a year ago.

Thanks everyone! I've got it now! Darned if I'm going to be a subscription customer of Adobe/LR. I'll find another solution. Too bad, really. I really liked LR-6.

Gene, so far as appears, you can go right on using 6.14 'forever' and it won't break - but equally it won't be upgraded any further. A year ago I felt pretty much the way you do but given the continuing development of the subscription version I took the plunge recently and I'm glad I did. As compared with broadband, cable TV and all the other items one subscribes too these days, also compared with other photographic costs - as a keen amateur, £100 or so / year doesn't seem excessive.

I think a caveat needs to be added to the "won't break" comment....provided the user never upgrades either their computer or Operating System, then yes, there's a fair chance that 6.14 will carry on functioning. But ongoing system/OS upgrades will also mean that there's a fair chance that 6.14 will stop functioning sooner or later, either wholly or in part. It would be as well to be aware of that likely reality.

Example is the map function no longer works because of changes by Google.
