I have a number of old, out-of-date icc profiles for papers I no longer use. How can I delete them permanently from the inventory that appears when you press "Other" (under Color Management/Profile in the Print Job panel)? Unchecking them renders them inaccessible, but does not delete them altogether.

Thanks, Lightroom Wizards (Queen et al.)

You should delete the profiles themselves (in the Finder, not in Lightroom). The list shows their path behind the name, but normally they are in user/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/.

Please note: the user Library folder may be hidden. If that is the case, then open your Home folder and choose 'View - Show View Options'. At the bottom of this window is a checkbox to unhide the Library folder.

Thanks very much, Johan. You're right: my user Library fold is hidden. I wasn't certain what you meant by "Home folder," however. I took you to mean my opening Desktop display, but when clicking on "View/View Options," I found only the options for viewing the Desktop screen--no checkbox to unhide the Library folder.

After posting this query, I searched around the LRQueen website and found a list of "File locations in macOS." To unhide the user Library file, this list suggests "press Option and choose Go>Library in the Finder." I wasn't sure exactly what that meant, but tried every combination I could think of, without success.

I'll appreciate any quick additional suggestions you may have, but please don't waste a lot of your time on this issue. I can easily live without deleting those profiles from the hard disk. By leaving them unchecked in the list found under the Print pane, they remain out of sight, at least.

Whoa, Johan: Fiddled some more with Option/Go>Library and succeeded. All unwanted profiles now in the Trash bin. Couldn't have done that without your guidance. Thanks again. RB

Good to hear it's all sorted out now.

That's because your Home folder isn't the same as the Desktop folder. The Home folder opens when you select 'Go - Home' in the Finder...

Yes, I see that now. Sorry to be such a dim bulb. While I was there, I checked "Show Library Folder" to be one of the defaults.
All's well, and thanks a million again.
