I am very anxious right now. Last night when importing into Lr, I had about 125-130K photos.
This morning when I opened Lr, I have 68K. Numerous folders aren't showing.
Mega confused.
I was simply importing and left the laptop on to run when I went to bed.
Would value assistance.
My program says Lr6 on the black ribbon, but above it on white background it states Lr5.catalogue

When you converted your LR5 catalog to the LR6 structure, LR retained the old catalog name which probably contained the name Lightroom 5.
In the All photographs special collection in the Catalog panel on the left, it should tell you how many images have been cataloged. Is this saying 68K? And if before, you were seeing ~125K, then you have opened an old catalog or an old backup of your current catalog. Some answers to these questions and perhaps a screen shot of the Catalog panel and the Folders panel can help diagnose your problem. We should be able to get you back to where you think you should be. Or at worst open your latest backup catalog before the big import and get you to where you were before and let you re run the big import.

That doesn't mean much, because you can give your catalog any name you like. And when you upgrade from Lr5 to Lr6, it will convert the old catalog so its name could be retained. It could also mean that you opened an old catalog by mistake however, as Cletus suggested, so indeed a screenshot of the contents of your catalog folder (the default location is your Pictures folder) would help to get an idea what happened.
