I have keywords in the KEYWORD PANEL that I want to delete but they do not show up in the KEYWORD LIST.Any directions? Pleas and thank you .

They're probably there. Try using the search field in the keyword list:

Alt/Opt+Click on the arrow of each of your top-level keywords will collapse/expand the entire hierarchy below that top-level keyword.

That's how I find them also; or wait until you are adding keywords -- Lr will throw up options from your list -- you can then find/delete them. Not sure you need to worry about finding and deleting; they usually surface at sometime . If the k/words are not attracted to any photo you can find them with the Lr smart collection 'without keywords' --- if not there then just a make a smart collection to suit.

All windows key boards have an "Alt" key --- coachejp may have been confused with Alt/Opt typing. Too much like common sense for different companies to have the same keys lol; or programs to use the same k/board short cuts

Well, if the profile had been updated to show the OS version, I'd have been able to better target my response. Those fields in the profile are there for a reason.

Jim,Sorry I did not know where to enter OS thought saying an WINDOWS keyboard would suffice.Yes it does have an alt key (had a brain burp). BUT,ALT click did not seem to open lower level keywords.

Ian,
the keywords LR6 brings up in the key word PANEL are those which I would like to edit THANK YOU.

BUT,ALT click did not seem to open lower level keywords.

Let's make sure we're on the same page. The Alt-Click thing acts as a toggle switch, i.e. if any part of the hierarchy below the parent is expanded, the first Alt-Click will collapse the complete keyword structure. Second Alt-Click will then expand every part of the hierarchy, and so on.

You have to click directly on the arrowhead to the left of the parent keyword while holding down the Alt key, if it's pointing down that means part or all of the hierarchy is already expanded, so best to Alt-Click to collapse all (the arrowhead will now be pointing right), then Alt-Click again to expand all (arrowhead points down again).
