When I try to print from LR Print module, the preview screen is blank, no image. If I select print , the printer engages the paper and sends to the output and ejects with no image. The printer works okay when doing a nozzle test. LR print was working okay and then just stopped.

The Print module shows you an image of the paper with a cell defined (black lined box) What you see on the screen is what will print. If the cell is empty, you will get a blank page printed. You need to select an image using the file strip or in the Library grid view before entering the Print module. The Selected image will appear in the cell outline. If there is no image in the cell(s), you may need to drag one from the film strip.

Yes, I know how to open an image in the print module. The cell was not empty and showed the image. It was when I selected print and the preview opened, no image. I tried the image again and got a corrupted file message. So the problem was with the file. I was able to use another virtual copy and print okay.

The cell was not empty and showed the image.
To me, these are conflicting statements. My reply is based upon the information that you provided about what you were seeing in the Print module in your initial post.

If you have 'Use:' set to 'Flagged photos' and nothing is flagged, you'll see what you're seeing:

I think there is a misunderstanding here. If I understand it correctly, the 'preview' that the OP mentions is not the cell in Lightroom, it's a printer driver preview that comes up after you've pressed the 'Print' button. I don't use Windows so I can't check that, but that is why his statements are not contradictory.

One explanation might be that the original image is 'missing'. If you try to print a 'missing' image, the Print module will still show the image (because it shows the preview). However, when you do press the Print button, Lightroom will have to load the original in order to render it at the correct resolution and convert it to the printer color space. If the original is missing however, then perhaps this is what happens (I never tried that myself).

My copy of LR on Windows complains when I try to print a missing image:

Thought I would weigh in on this 2-year-old post if it might help someone with this issue. When going to the Print module, make sure you have the correct package selected, i.e., "Single Image/Contact Sheet," which could cause this issue.
