I do love to see the inventive ways that people find to use Lightroom’s many tools, and this one really caught my eye…
Ariana Falerni has just released a set of room images and Lightroom Print Templates that allow you to preview groups of photos as if they’re hung on a wall at home, above a sofa, fireplace or bed. Here’s her quick sneak preview:

Hi I recently installed LR 3.2 in my PC. Since I have never used before as soon as I opened I choose ‘create new catlog’ then choose one of the picture in my library then it asked me to overwrite and I accepted it. LR was suddendly closed and didn’t work after that. I uninstalled the program and installed again. Still its showing the same error message “LIGHT ROOM – OPENING CATLOG DSC_0361.JPG.Ircat” and it is not working. Could you please tell me how to solve this?
[It sounds like you’ve tried to create a catalog by overwriting an image file. Do you understand that catalogs and images are different? Try holding down the Ctrl key when starting LR and press the Create New Catalog button – but this time, don’t click on a photo. Just choose a location and give it a name such as ‘My Lightroom Catalog’. Once you have a working catalog then you import references to the photos into that text catalog – they’re 2 separate processes. – VB]
very cool!
