2.2 – Disc burning disabled

Some people are reporting problems burning CD’s or DVD’s from Lightroom since the 2.2 update.

The 64-bit version not burning is a known issue – that’s in the release notes, however some have been having trouble with the 32-bit version.

The solution – uninstalling and reinstalling seems to fix it in most cases, so it’s worth a shot!

Thanks. Reinstalled LR2 2.2 and that’s fixed it.

Candidly speaking (no pun intended), I use LR2.2 for viewing and rating, processing, and slide-shows. After processing and saving individual images in PSD format, I use PS Elements for cloning, layering that can’t be handled with Adjustment Brush, and a few other things, and then print from PSE because it does a better job than LR. I use Windows’ file system for folders and subfolders; tagging in the file name, dates, etc., also works better for me than the LR, Bridge or PSE treasure hunt. Nero DVD/CD software also works better for me than LR. However, LR 2.2 is a fast, powerful processor that I greatly appreciate, and I prefer it to all other initial processing software.

[Sounds like a good plan Bob. The built-in cd/dvd burning is handy, but dedicated software will always offer more flexibility. - VB]
